August 21, 201114 yr Pumped Up Kicks is doing so well in the US still. It's #3 on iTunes, and approaching top 20 on airplay apparently! :o

August 21, 201114 yr Reggie is so immature, even if that is what we all think when we hear the title of this song
August 21, 201114 yr I just realised this song starts out exactly the same as 'Only Girl (In The World)' - the chorus is significantly different though.
August 21, 201114 yr This song is growing on me fast, again it sounds a lot like Rihanna which can only be a good thing
August 21, 201114 yr (37) Dev-In THe Dark Seems to sound a lot like Mr. Saxobeat in my opinion. But this is the first time I've heard this tune
August 21, 201114 yr Pumped Up Kicks is doing so well in the US still. It's #3 on iTunes, and approaching top 20 on airplay apparently! :o :o That's really, really good. And to think when I first heard it, I dismissed it as some indie flop. I do love it now, don't hurt me. And Wet has climbed really well! :D
August 21, 201114 yr I just realised this song starts out exactly the same as 'Only Girl (In The World)' - the chorus is significantly different though. Well, the instrumental for the chorus is practically identical.
August 21, 201114 yr Gaga has a great team (as does every artist) but you can't manufacture her drive and work ethic. She's an old fashioned grafter and she deserves everything she has achieved. She co writes and co produces all her songs and is involved in all her styling, marketing, video treatments etc and she's a great businesswoman. There's girls here and there that have better technical skills than gaga and Rihanna (though she is much less talented than gaga) but they don't have their drive and ambition. The entertainment industry has never been purely about just musical talent you need lots of different skills and a ruthless drive to succeed. Kylie does :kink: Ugh, really going off Wet :(
August 21, 201114 yr Wet sounds so amazing on the radio. I hope this can be another top 10 for her, but I don't think it will, so I will be content with top 20 :kink:
August 21, 201114 yr But with the right image, character and promotion you get it all. And that's overhype, musically she's not outstanding, then why did she have such a big impact? That's not overhype. That's being media savvy and the whole popstar package. and Eric how can you like Chillin' and Videophone? They are the worst songs she's ever been involved in. Videophone is tuneless!
August 21, 201114 yr I just realised this song starts out exactly the same as 'Only Girl (In The World)' - the chorus is significantly different though. The chorus is the bit that sounds the same to me!
August 21, 201114 yr Damn, I was hoping Nicole would stay ahead of Jessie J, but the latter is a few places ahead on iTunes now so I suppose it was to be expected. Fingers crossed Nicole gets the higher peak though.

They are the worst songs she's ever been involved in. Videophone is tuneless! Well I'm guessing some people have different tastes. Or did you think everyone has the same music taste as you? :)
August 21, 201114 yr Well, the instrumental for the chorus is practically identical. The instrumental for the whole thing is almost identical - but the melody of the chorus is different enough I didn't notice the similarity until just now  as I don't really pay a lot of attention to instrumentals of non-dance songs. Who's Laughing Now :puke:
