Those stats are astonishing but how are you sure that she's done it herself, not her management / marketing team, label, PR etc. etc. etc.? Let's face it, her music isn't SO innovative, it's a good pop music, but it doesn't send us to 2021.

Well, an old couple across the road from me worked in a post office all their lives until retirement a couple of years ago. They seemed very fulfilled and happy. And why shouldn't they be? I will be when I finally land a job as a Welsh teacher. Fame and fortune isn't everything.

Lady Gaga was very similar to "Sound of" artists to me, like Jessie J actually. She was practically unavoidable before she even released Just Dance in the UK. Which I think is ridiculous.

 

Lady Gaga's not stupid though. She knew dressing up as Kermit the Frog would get her in the news, and hence increase the airplay of Poker Face, and hence increase the sales.

Exactly! If you want to try overhyped...try little boots or Jessie J. I'm not a blind sheep...i'm well aware gaga has taken some bumps this year but she still delivers 90 per cent of the time. Born this way is a fantastic album. Sorry if I rant on...but no one has played the popstar game aswell as gaga in years. She is the the perfect popstar and works her arse off...she gets far more bad press than she deserves. People need to focus on why someone as limited in talent as Robyn Fenty gets so much push from her label and such good A&R. It's one of the biggest mysteries in pop!
