Undoubtedly, but I still don't think it'd have gone anywhere near #1 like the media were suggesting. Maybe top five on iTunes before quickly dipping back out and perhaps low top ten/high top twenty in the officials.

 

This version of Cannonball is 'faster' than the one I have on my iTunes from the compilation album Hits 60. I take it that was the album version and this is the single version?

 

The album version features just guitar, cello and voice, whilst the radio remix features a full band and is a bit faster. Rice hates the radio remix, as it was made and released by the record company without his permission, and made the record company promise that none of his future material would be remixed.

Really pleased to see all of these new entries make it in at the last minute, well Tony and Amy/Damien at least but it's nice to see it wasn't at Gaga's expense.

Quite refreshing to hear 3 'new' songs to start off the top 40. Better than when it was Price Tag every week.

I have to agree with him, I wasn't keen. I do recall hearing it before actually - a long time ago - but I'll stick to the album version that I have on my iTunes. Strange that it was the album version that was commissioned to all of the compilations.

I wonder how big this'll actually get. It's a fairly good song (all her others from BTW are seriously tired now) and different enough to the rest of her stuff that I'm not bored already.

It's very nice of Lady Gaga to wait until I leave the state before she releases a song about how awesome Nebraska is.

First time I've heard "You & I", quite different from the other Lady Gaga tracks, a little country & Western feel to it. Despite that, I like it!

Yup. I'm pissed off that they're releasing this one on 7" pic disc when they didn't bother with the last two singles. I just downloaded the remix bundle instead (the WB mix is also the lead track in that IIRC).
