(28) Jamelia - Something About You I liked this era a lot more than her previous one, shame it didn't meet as much commercial success 2001 01. (-) DJ Otzi - Hey Baby Well I can't claim to have liked it but it's certainly unforgettable - it was everywhere at the time! 03. (2) Supermen Lovers/Mani Hoffman - Starlight 04. (-) N-Trance - Set You Free {2001} My thoughts on this remix are fairly well documented across the forum already I believe - 10 years ago this week, good god! 06. (4) Uncle Kracker - Follow Me 07. September 18, 201114 yr Howdy, disco citizens.* Looking forward to the chart this week, for a change. 2 new rock entries this week, which is groovy b's indeed. * A toffee apple for the first person to identify the song I'm quoting (note: toffee apple may in fact be non-existant)
September 18, 201114 yr Retros... hmm. 2010 is filled with liked but not loved songs with the exception of Impossible , Love The Way You Lie and maybe Dynamite and DJ at a pinch, considering the latter is my favourite Usher song. 2006 is average still, there's the Scissor Sisters, Shakira and Justin, but The Killers have far better and I don't particularly care for any of the others. 2001 has Set You Free though, which is definitely my favourite from that top 10.
September 18, 201114 yr There's a part of me that wishes Mazzy Star has done enough to go top 40, even though I know that it hasn't even gone that high on the iTunes chart.
September 18, 201114 yr Let's hope Reggie finds the time to play every track this week. First time hearing this. Breath of fresh air in the chart. Edited September 18, 201114 yr by T Boy

September 18, 201114 yr Amy sounds like Billie Holiday in this song, especially her first verse
September 18, 201114 yr Tony Bennett just snuck in after all then! He must have broken the record for oldest solo artist to get a top 40 hit with new material.
September 18, 201114 yr Tony Bennett just scrapes by in the end. When it was first announced, people said this would go straight to no.1, but I can't even see this getting another week in the top 40.
September 18, 201114 yr Glad this made the top 40, it's goregous and a very worthy top 40 hit! Very xmassy sound to it... Surprised it was being hyped up as a potential #1 not long ago though, as with the 'Beatles finally going onto iTunes and flooding the chart' hype - it was never going to happen, another media frenzy amounting to nothing.
September 18, 201114 yr Tony Bennett just snuck in after all then! He must have broken the record for oldest solo artist to get a top 40 hit with new material. I've hedged my bets in my commentary
