September 18, 201114 yr great to hear tony bennet top 40.must have one of the oldest chart histories having a no1 in 1955!!!
September 18, 201114 yr I'm sure this would have done better if it had A) been released a few weeks back when there was still some media 'hype' about Amy's death and B) been released on a Sunday. Decent song but Amy doesn't sound that good on it IMO :( You can tell it was recorded right near the end of her life.
September 18, 201114 yr Cannonball is number 39 already? Fantastic. Hope this goes top 10 next week, it's great. Wonder if they'll play the radio remix or the original version? Edited September 18, 201114 yr by Brett-Butler
September 18, 201114 yr Damian Rice? Seriously, in like 4 hours? :o For the record I didn't really like that John guy :(
September 18, 201114 yr Wait a second, Cannonball's in. That was REALLY fast. Excited! :D As for Body and Soul, I wouldn't listen to it out of choice, but it's got a good feel to it.
September 18, 201114 yr They're playing the radio remix of Cannonball, even though it's the album version that people are buying. Understandable, but given that the chart prides itself as 'playing the music you are buying', it's slightly misleading.
September 18, 201114 yr I'm sure this would have done better if it had A) been released a few weeks back when there was still some media 'hype' about Amy's death and B) been released on a Sunday. Undoubtedly, but I still don't think it'd have gone anywhere near #1 like the media were suggesting. Maybe top five on iTunes before quickly dipping back out and perhaps low top ten/high top twenty in the officials. This version of Cannonball is 'faster' than the one I have on my iTunes from the compilation album Hits 60. I take it that was the album version and this is the single version?
September 18, 201114 yr A very unusual start to the top 40 this week  I'm hoping Lady Gaga and Delilah have made it.
September 18, 201114 yr Poor Simon (Suedehead) has do a mini quick write up :D You should see our MSN chat right now :P
