Just barely holding onto the top 40 there for YM@6. Annoying that 'Loverboy' is a top 40 hit when the infinitely better 'Underdog' and 'Kiss And Tell' both missed out (if I recall both were top 40 in the mids as well, KAT was even as high as #31 on Friday I think ). This is just a poor rehash of their previous material, it has exactly the same chorus as several of their other songs.

Is it warm and sunny for everyone today? The UK broke it's October temp record yesterday (29.9C) :o

Yes very warm, makes me very ill :(

No. :( It's not cold or anything. It's warmer than the average October here, but it's not very sunny atm. :( I'm near Birmingham though.

Goldie excepted

(who's already walked out apparently)

what novelty ones are there? If you mean Johnny he's not a novelty, just a drag queen

Jonny is a good singer but I don't think he has a serious chance of winning. And as much as I love Kitty's voice, she's basically Waissel.2 and I agree with Louis-all the theatrics put me off her. I'd be satisfied just hearing her sing  But I suppose that's what the show is all about.

RE: Luke Lucas-I was most certainly joking when I called that audition amazing :P

Here it was almost 35ºC today, ugh! When I could go to the beach, it wasn't that good. Night temps are really high too for this time of the year.
It won't. I'm still lost at how that got to #1.

Because it was the highest selling single in the UK in the period from 00:00 27 Aug 2011 to 23:59 3 Sep 2011? :kink:

Yeah I know what you mean. Oh and I HATE Katy. I just kind of blocked her from my memory

I could tell with your "inverted commas" :kink:

Lady GaGa is a dance-pop singer from New York City. Born Stefani Germanotta in Yonkers in 1986, she attended the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU while performing at open-mic nights. A collaboration with rapper/producer Akon led to her signing with Interscope Records, which released her debut album THE FAME in October 2008. She scored a number one hit and a Grammy nomination with "Just Dance," which topped the charts in several other countries, but The Fame truly exploded in 2009 thanks to the single "Poker Face." By 2010, Gaga was one of the biggest stars in the world, aided by her new EP The Fame Monster and its single "Bad Romance." - HMV

it's nice to hear some guitars in the chart.

There's actually guitars in a decent amount of recent chart hits tbh. They're just not proper rock songs.

That's what I really meant

Good afternoon all. I'm in the middle of sorting out my radio station's new playlist, as well as arranging an interview for us with an artist who would surely gain *Dandy's seal of approval, whilst similtanously listening to the chart. Hopefully Kasabian have managed to re-enter the top 40 with DAF.

I hope Brett features on the playlist :D

Discussion Thread Here

Edge of Glory is perhaps Gaga's most tolerable song, although that's probably due to the involvement of a Mr Clemons on sax.

It's one of my least hated Lady Gaga songs aswell tbh. I think because it sounds more different to the rest of her songs.

I LOVE this remix of Glad You Came!!!

Why on Earth can't he play the version that people have been buying?
What happened to Colby O'Donis? Did he break up with Akon?

I think it's just a case of Akon deciding to slowly go into retirement now, so by extension Colby O'Donnis will be around less.

Isn't Jason Derulo's album out this week, too? He's released two singles?
