There's much better on the album, but still a welcome return and a pretty damn decent chart run.

He really should have released the physical on the same week as the digital though - this would have been a fantastic top 10 hit (and very different from 99% of this year's other top 10 hits) but it's had to settle for two non-consecutive weeks in the top 25, one with digitals and one with physicals - having said that AKA...WAL! has been pretty high on iTunes all week anyway though.

A good re-peak for Noel Gallagher, although inevitable given as he's one of the few artists who still sell physicals by the bucketload (as well as Paul Weller, Kylie Mingoue and the Pet Shop Boys)
Did the two Chemical Brothers songs that Noel is on (Setting Sun and Let Forever Be) not credit him? :o

I don't think The Chemical Brothers ever credit their guest artists.

I'd far rather see it have a top 10 peak and a fairly swift exit than the run it's had, still pretty pleased it's done this well though and it will have sold better as a result.

So 17 place drop for Matt............expected really. The track stands out like a sore thumb on the album. It really doesn't fit in. It just adds to my growing dislike of Gary Barlow.
Actually LOVE that Noel Gallagher song :o It's definitely better than the piece of crap Matt Cardle was saddled with. Actually imagine that AKAWAL was Matt's debut single, how amazing would that have been :o
Down 17 places, biggest drop this week. Hopefully the album comes up with some decent sales in the end up, its so good, this is the worst song off of it!
noel from #1 in the albums... I really think Matts song is pretty weak :s
And, Joe went 6-21, so he's actually done worse than Joe

But will have bigger album sales.

If noel got backed by radio1 Aka.. what a life would be a pretty big hit i think.

I just really hope Matt can turn this era around with 'Starlight'. The album hasn't done awfully which is a positive sign but we don't know how it'll go after this first week.

Yes, but Joe's album did 38k in its first week if I remember correctly, Matt is looking close to 70k for his first week, so he has most certainly done better.

It makes me angry Starlight wasn't the first single. It wouldn't have been massive, but it'd have had a lot better reception. This really is just a promotion of Gary Barlow. I hope he can turn it around but don't think he will. I'm not sure if the album will hold up after this week.

The One That Got Away  I doubt it'll be her sixth Top 10 from the era, but a Top 20 would be nice! Fingers crossed..
