so has Edge of Glory outsold Born This Way or is that still to come? :o

Born This Way is still to come. People talk about the song like it flopped, but it actually did very well I think.

I bet when it was released people expected this to end up a lot higher than this. It's very good, but a bit of a one-trick pony.
Louder is one of those songs where it has loads of remixes which are better than the original imo. I think the original is quite boring and soft imo. I could even imagine Heart FM playing this. Some of the remixes are INSANE though.

Watching your signature while 'Louder' is playing in the background is hilarious!! :D

To be honest, by the time this came out I was just grateful for a good summer track.

That's true. Born This Way sold very well. People forget that it's full first week sales were higher than Adele's and Jessie J's sales of the week it ended up at number 3, so it would have been a number 1 had she not released it at the end of the bloody week.

PEAK POSITION: 1

WKS IN TOP 75: 19

PEAK POSITION SALES: 117,165

Written in part by Ed Drewett (who appeared on Professor Green’s debut hit (“Need You Tonight”) , this became a second chart topper for the band back in July moving 117K in its debut week.

I really do love The Wanted. I never really thought i did, until i realised how well they always do on my person chart

This is one of their best so glad it did so well!

Louder's total sales aren't great after that massive first week. I'm glad though. Awful song and I seriously hope something stops it from being the highest selling song of its genre. Maybe Skrillex could if he's big in 2012.
This must be The Wanted's biggest hit. I didn't think they'd ever get anything bigger than All Time Low.

Do you think that is why they came up with the #1 award, to try and get artists to release a full chart week? You have to wonder if Gaga's team thought they could spin the 'Number One on three days sales' PR and it backfired horribly.

21- ALEXANDRA STAN- MR SAXOBEAT (499,000)

PEAK POSITION: 3

WKS IN TOP 75: 22

PEAK POSITION SALES: 47,766

One of this year’s big euro hits, this was the debut hit for Romanian Stan. This topped her native charts for 8 weeks and made the top 10 in most European charts over the summer.

Who'd have thought this would be nearly in the top 20 of the year when the sales barrier for that is pretty much the highest it's ever been?

It may have been #1 the week after if she performed at the Brits :( (or if the Brits never happened :kink:)

Again, you have to remember their primary market is the US. If I remember correctly, the song did get released early, because it leaked onto the Internet (same thing happened with Where Them Girls At). But it would've been released mid-week if they'd gone with their original release date anyway, since they wanted to release it worldwide at the same time, and they would've released it at the beginning of the sales week in the US, which would've been somewhere in the middle of the week in the UK.

Mr. Saxobeat is one of the most annoying songs on the year. I hate it so much. Disgusting. :puke: :puke:

That was a thoroughly PATHETIC pronunciation of 'Xyloto' there Tom. Great to see MX making the year end top 5 though :cheer:
