Interestingly Rihanna et al were successfully sued by David LaChapelle (photographer) over the video proving it had ripped off his Vogue shots. 5TX9KuXD8dI
December 31, 201114 yr It's been a long time since I heard this radio edit. I actually like it tbh. That noise it makes during "chains" and "whips" is probably the most interesting part of the song. It's pretty boring overall. Just another Sexy Chick clone. My favourite singles from Loud were What's My Name? and Cheers (and Man Down if you count that).
December 31, 201114 yr Same position as my EOY chart :o anyway still love this. Hugely underated IMO.
December 31, 201114 yr I have no idea how this managed to sell so well. It's alright, but nearly 650k? really? Maybe over 650,000 if you include its 2010 sales! :o I agree, a bit extreme. It's not really that interesting, although the lyrics are quite funny. Jar of Hearts. The first piano ballad in the year-end top 40. I don't like it that much. It's like a re-hash of Empire State of Mind.

The first piano ballad in the year-end top 40. I don't like it that much. It's like a re-hash of Empire State of Mind. Really? I'm guessing you're talking about Part II, which I consider to be horrifically dull and unimaginative. Jar of Hearts I love because the lyrics paint a picture. It's more like a massively superior version of Someone Like You IMO.
December 31, 201114 yr How? Alicia Key's broken down version. Obviously, I'm talking musically rather than lyrically. It's amazing how successful this song was though. It really didn't have a conventional promotion campaign.
December 31, 201114 yr Jar Of Hearts! So amazing, all its success. Future classic. One of my favourites in the top 40.
December 31, 201114 yr Author 10- ED SHEERAN- THE A TEAM (773,600) http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/b/b0/TheATeam.jpg PEAK POSITION: 3 WKS IN TOP 75: 28 Nice to see that songs with social commentary still merits a top 40 place, Sheeran was one of this year's briggest new stars and in addition to a chart topping album he sold over three quarters of a million of his debut release. qpbrlpNJnr4
December 31, 201114 yr The A Team, S&M and Born This Way are three songs that peaked at #3 but had massive sales and chart longevity. And similar with Jar of Hearts except with its #4 peak. I much prefer You Need Me and Lego House to The A Team. I think Drunk and Hush Little Baby could be hits for Ed Sheeran in 2012. Edited December 31, 201114 yr by Eric_Blob

December 31, 201114 yr On the Floor is kind of boring. I heard Mohombi's new song on the radio, and it is basically the beginning of On the Floor stretched out for 4 minutes. Edited December 31, 201114 yr by Eric_Blob
December 31, 201114 yr The song is definitely made for radio/clubs rather than iPods. I downloaded this after months of hesitation and it just doesn't sound as good on my iPod. It actually sounds flat and repetitive. Edited December 31, 201114 yr by SceneofSIXCrimes

Another track that lost its midweek No 1 spot it did become a US chart topper , the first UK female soloist to manage this since Leona Lewis back in 2008. yODPhQq8rnE
