December 31, 201114 yr On the Floor definitely did not deserve to be so big. A massive step down from J-Lo's previous material, and the song is just nothing special at all. Rolling in the Deep, on the other hand. The fact that this is the most played song on the radio, but I still haven't got sick of it shows how good a song it is! I probably like it because it has that Lose Yourself-esque guitar in it. It's the biggest-selling song of the year in the WORLD of 2011 too (with Party Rock Anthem in 2nd place).

December 31, 201114 yr Ed Sheeran should overtake JLo into #9 on the OCC's year-end top 40. He could be #9 in both charts actually (although it's possible + could overtake Who You Are in this last week as well). It's odd to see Rolling In The Deep as low as #8 since it's the #1 of the year worldwide and she's a British artist. Of course she's comfortably the #1 of the year in the UK anyway though, just with a different song.
December 31, 201114 yr Gosh. I can't believe Rihanna kept turning down his instrumentals. I wonder which ones he sent her. I guess this was a good choice though, with it smashing worldwide and everything.
December 31, 201114 yr I can foresee a Calvin Harris feat. Rihanna track being released in the summer of 2012. :P

December 31, 201114 yr 'Grenade' is just awful. I wish 'It Will Rain' could have had this much success :(
December 31, 201114 yr I can foresee a Calvin Harris feat. Rihanna track being released in the summer of 2012. :P Rihanna would definitely do it if he asked her. Although I thought the same with Chase N Status, after they did three instrumentals for Rated R, but they said they didn't want her on their album! :o Grenade has "grown" on me (in the sense that I don't hate it as much as I did this time last year). I kept saying it was like the most boring song ever, but having listened to this countdown, I think there's other songs which are more boring (e.g. Don't Hold Your Breath, Where Them Girls At, Mr. Saxobeat, The Lazy Song, On the Floor). December 31, 201114 yr Oh the amount of hate posts for this coming  I adore this defintely one of his standouts Imo. Not got old at all for me :D Edited December 31, 201114 yr by Rob Summers
December 31, 201114 yr I must admit, this did get old for me, but hearing it now, its sounding really good again  Edited December 31, 201114 yr by C.W
December 31, 201114 yr Did Adele just sing "sell your fish bare"? That's a unique lyric. :P Even funnier, Metro Lyrics says its 'Go ahead and sell me out and I'll lay your ship bare'. That doesn't even make sense, its clearly 'Go ahead and sell me out and I'll lay your shit bare'
December 31, 201114 yr Author 05- PITBULL FEATURING NE-YO & AFROJACK – GIVE ME EVERYTHING (858,700) http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/0/06/Pitbull_-_Give_Me_Everything.jpg PEAK POSITION: 1 WKS ON CHART: 38 PEAK POSITION SALES: 95,848 Difficult to think that Pitbull never reached the top in the UK until this year. After that J-Lo appearance he drifted in Ne-Yo who helped himself to the top spot for the fourth time “So Sick (2006), “Closer” (2008) and “Beautiful Monster” (2010) being his others. vVetZppxlvk&feature=related
December 31, 201114 yr Even funnier, Metro Lyrics says its 'Go ahead and sell me out and I'll lay your ship bare'. That doesn't even make sense, its clearly 'Go ahead and sell me out and I'll lay your shit bare' I thought that, but they don't censor it on the radio, which is strange. But it could be, since they don't censor "shittin' down the game" in Sweat by Snoop Dogg either. Perhaps radio is getting more liberal now, or it's the fact that it's difficult to tell what they're saying so they don't feel the need to censor it.
December 31, 201114 yr The top ten singles have seriously pulled away from the rest, haven't they? There's a massive gap between Ed Sheeran at #10 and Christina Perri at #11: 773k vs. 643k. It also looks like half a million could be the cut-off point for the year end top 20, as 1D at #20 will have made the 500k this week. Neat.
December 31, 201114 yr This song was originally supposed to be for Ne-Yo's album (to be released next year), but it somehow ended up on Pitbull's lol. Probably for the best though. Pitbull gets a massive hit, and Ne-Yo gets made relevent in the US ready for his next era. Even Nayer is having some success in Europe now. Edited December 31, 201114 yr by Eric_Blob
