Yeah, my mate suggested that. I think I might just get a new laptop as it's got tons of things wrong with it, it's about five years old and doesn't work unless the charger is plugged it all the time.

Mine's seemingly like that, the battery life is about ten minutes. Frustrating as hell.

I quite like this Beyonce track. Sounds nicely retro.
Mine's seemingly like that, the battery life is about ten minutes. Frustrating as hell.

So get a new battery. A lot cheaper than a new laptop!

(and it's worth spending a few quid extra to get a replacement original than a compatible when we're talking about batteries)

Edited by fchd

Is "End Of Time" going to be her next single? Thought i'd ask as I keep hearing the Wideboys remix of it on the radio.
We Found Love?

I know very little music without any rhythm come to think of it, I'd say it was arguably the thing that made music music if that makes any sense. Ironically the stuff that people claim has no rhythm whatsoever - technical death metal - has some of the most complex and dense rhythms of any genre.

I've never listened to any technical death metal, so I can't comment on that. But yes, We Found Love is very lacking in rhythm. With a computer you can make its drum pattern in about 20 seconds. It's pathetic. It probably wouldn't be so boring to listen to now if Calvin was more creative with the beat.

So get a new battery. A lot cheaper than a new laptop!

The whole thing is incredibly slow and just about full, I'm going to hold off until Windows 8 comes out since I'm on Vista now and don't see much point in only jumping up one operating system.

I think it's supposed to be but as per with this era it's taking forever for anything to happen with it.

A 26th week in the Top40. Showing no signs of going way yet. Last week in the Top40 for her?

Apparently she's performing it on Dancing On Ice tonight, so that seems unlikely.

Bit of a yo-yo chart run for this the last few weeks :P

Is "End Of Time" going to be her next single? Thought i'd ask as I keep hearing the Wideboys remix of it on the radio.

I heard it is supposed to be her next single. Although to be honest, I've been hearing it (the original) regularly on the radio since Best Thing I Never Had got released. It's a brilliant song, I hope it can get into the top 40 one day.

Yeah, my mate suggested that. I think I might just get a new laptop as it's got tons of things wrong with it, it's about five years old and doesn't work unless the charger is plugged it all the time.

With Retailers desperate to sell in this climate, you may pick up a Bargain. :)

Although it's peaked relatively low it's good to see that 'The One That Got Away' has a bit of staying power :)
'The One That Got Away' has had a pretty good chart run. :o Shame it couldn't go top ten (or #1 in the US) but for a sixth single it's incredible.

Paradise

Coldplay began working on Mylo Xyloto in 2009, while the band was still in the midst of its multi-year tour in support of Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends. Recording sessions stretched from 2009 to 2011, with Brian Eno collaborating with the band on several songs and R&B singer Rihanna lending her vocals to “Princes of China.” Markus Dravs, Daniel Green, and Rik Simpson all shared production credits, too, resulting in a diverse album inspired by industrial rock and electro-pop. Coldplay began debuting the new tracks as early as May 2011, with “Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall” kicking off a string of anthemic singles.

Turning Tables (Live)

'21' is the second album from singer-songwriter Adele, and like her first record, 2008's '19', it is named after the age Adele was when she wrote the album. Most of '21' was produced by Rick Rubin, who has worked with some of the biggest acts of the last 20 years, and Florence & The Machine producer Paul Epworth. Lyrically the album reflects Adele's increased maturity since '19', although it explores many of the same themes.

Grenade

Bruno Mars has already taken the UK by storm since releasing his debut single in September - he has headlined a sold out London show and supported friend and singer Travie McCoy on a string of UK and European dates. As well as this, his debut single 'Just The Way You Are' went straight to Number 1 in the UK charts and has now sold over 600,000 since its release and so far is the second highest selling single of the year – a feat that is hard to come by these days for new artists. All three singles combined, including the No. 1 smash hit 'Nothin on You' with B.o.B and 'Billionaire' with Travie McCoy have not only marked Bruno as a credible and versatile up-and-coming artist but have totalled over 1.3 million sales to date!

Having spent the past few years writing and co-writing songs for the likes of Flo Rida, Travie McCoy, Sugababes, Alexandra Burke and B.o.B, Bruno is now stepping out as an artist in his own right and if the success of Just The Way You Are is anything to go by...this Hawaiian native, now based in L.A, is set to take on the world. - HMV

"Stomp Stomp, I've arrived!" struts the opening lyric of Jessie J's debut single, 'Do It Like A Dude' – a heavy urban-pop tune set to juddering beats and laced with her own brand of ghetto-fabulous, sordid swagger.

The instantaneous skank-inducing debut has already picked up airplay from the likes of Twin B, 1Xtra and Mista Jam, Radio 1, with the white hot remix from man-of-the-moment and good pal Labrinth rocketing Jessie J straight to the top of the HypeMachine chart in under 24 hours - all an impressive 3 months ahead of release.

The 22-year old, Essex-born songwriter has penned tunes for the likes of Alicia Keys, toured with Chris Brown and notably wrote Miley Cyrus's Number One billboard smash 'Party In The USA!' While her multi-octave voice and self-made attitude has earned Jessie J the respect of music's glitterati; from Justin Timberlake commenting 'Who is the best singer? Jessie J!', to Cyndi Lauper pulling her on stage at Shepherds Bush to sing her legendary anthem 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun' alongside her.

'Do It Like A Dude' is a ghetto chic, crotch-grabbing, urban-pop diamond amongst the rough which cements Jessie J's debut album firmly in place as one of the most anticipated releases of 2011.- HMV

AKA...What A Life!

When Oasis split up in August 2009, the Gallagher brothers bounced back by both forming their own side-projects. Liam Gallagher launched Beady Eye that same year, retaining most of Oasis’ lineup and cranking up his love for ‘60s rock & roll. Meanwhile, Noel reached out to musicians from different bands to piece together the High Flying Birds, whose music struck a balance between Oasis’ epic pop/rock and the Kinks’ lush psychedelia. Released in October 2011, the album also proved Noel’s willingness to step out of his comfort zone with songs like “The Death of You and Me,” which featured a marching band’s horn section. - HMV
