Stunned for a second then, thought Madonna had somehow managed to debut at #25. Looks like people's predictions of 'It'll do a lesser-scaled Born This Way' didn't come true - it's probably debuting at the #40-60 region, as did Britney Spears' 'Till the World Ends'.

It's not in the chart at all. It's ineligible, as confirmed by the OCC.

2011 17 Skinny Love

2011 50 Shelter

2011 33 People Help The People

15 weeks T40 and 28 T100, not bad for a #17 peaking single. Weird to think that this peaked comparitvely lower than 'Wherever We Will Go' (which somehow reached #3?!).
On the upside, I think Jar of Hearts is out but knowing me it will be next
Why do so many people hate Skinny Love and Wherever You Will Go, but like Someone Like You and Empire State of Mind, Part II? They're all equally nice imo.

An interesting thing came to my mind regarding the chart ineligibility of Madonna's new single.

What if I download a song, later the second song from the same artist and than 3 months later I complete my album on iTunes. Wil this count towards the album chart and the 2 songs sales will be subtracted or, the other songs from the album count towards the singles chart and the album won't count as such?

Just because they are all ballads you shouldn't like everyone of them. What an odd question

I don't totally hate this Katy Perry track. It's weird that it appears to namecheck Radiohead though.
On the upside, I think Jar of Hearts is out but knowing me it will be next

Its not out, it is a climber due to it being performed on DOI.

But they're all quite similar ballads. A female singing over a piano, and the piano and singing are nice in all of them imo.

why?

as I wrote in the previous page you can get the song if you pre-order the whole album.

It's still to come, she performed it on Dancing On Ice (one wonder how many more shows she'll flog this off on, at this rate she'll sing it on X Factor 2012 )

Jar Of Hearts still sounds good for me though. (Then again I never liked Skinny Love or Wherever You Will Go).

The One That Got Away has had a very impressive and consistant chart run, particularly for a 6th single. If the X Factor performance was at a different time I do think this would have been massive. I think it's quite a generic song for Katy Perry but for some reason it still works. 6 top 20 singles in the UK is a rare achievement, Katy's done massively well with her singles this year (I don't know about the album) but this makes me wonder if the re-release is going to go ahead or not or else this will just become a greatest hits album.
