There should seriously be a thread dedicated to #9 and #10 hits. They are really rare these days.

The only #9 hits that come to mind are 'Video Games', 'Born to Die', 'Ego', 'Nobody's Perfect', 'Sober' and 'Eyes Wide Shut'.

International Love aswell. I hope that doesn't get any higher than #10 anyway. But it's true. I can't think of many! :o

Turn Me On is doing amazingly! Hopefully Top 10 in the next few weeks!
Gosh, that was a very weird edit of the song. I guess we'll get more edits like that if they're running late in the future. They do them on the Big Top 40 Show sometimes, but they do have to play 50 songs in 3 hours on that chart show.

Oh and 'Last Friday Night' obviously. :D

Oh yeah, that's done over 400k hasn't it? That's probably the highest selling #9 hit at the moment (but I agree Lana will likely overtake it).

#9 hits are still in greater supply than elusive #7s ('Badman Riddim (Jump)' is STILL the only #7 since the start of 2011 ).

-x-

They cut out the only good best part of Turn Me On :(

You mean "We could get a cracking chiropractor?"

I was only mentioning #9 hits. :P ...and #8 hits in EWS's case. :kink:

In terms of #10 hits all I can think of are; 'U + Ur Hand', 'Nothing's Real But Love', 'International Love' and that awful Parade song.

:/

The charts are more than 10 years old  There are probably many many many huge #9 sellers before 2000?

2011 09 Video Games

2012 09 Born To Die[/size]

Her next single will probably peak at #9 :D

I SO CANNOT SEE THE PATTERN.

I assume by 'U + Ur Hand' you mean 'F**kin' Perfect' based on the timescale of the rest of the songs you've mentioned (although U + Ur Hand did peak at #10 as well so maybe not, just seems a bit out of place :P)

Other #10s since 2010 are 'Higher', 'Young Forever', 'I Need Air', 'My Name' (by McLean, as this is an incredibly anonymous song), 'Best Behaviour', 'I'm In Love (I Wanna Do It)', 'In My System', 'Safe', 'Hold My Hand', 'This Day' (Emma's Imagination), 'Leeds Leeds Leeds', 'Lighters', 'Bass Down Low', 'Save The World' and 'What Do You Take Me For?' :P

As the very first winner of the AMERICAN IDOL television show competition, Kelly Clarkson was inevitably pegged as little more than a manufactured pop commodity. The surprisingly versatile singer managed to survive against expectations, however, and released one of the most infectious singles of 2005, "Since U Been Gone." The success of the song not only endeared Clarkson to a tremendously diverse cross-section of the music listening population, it altered her status from mere contest winner to genuine pop sensation and pointed to a career worth following. - HMV
