April 29, 201214 yr It seems soooooooooooooo long ago when the music video came out and everybody was shocked and talking about it. Talking of the video, i don't think you've shared your opinions on the Starships video ^_^
April 29, 201214 yr Wow. Three rap duos in a row now. Jay-Z/Kanye>>>>>>>>Rizzle Kicks>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>LMFAO
April 29, 201214 yr Both 'Sexy And I Know It' and 'Mama Do The Hump' are so ridiculously overplayed/overrated ugh.
April 29, 201214 yr Down With The Trumpets and When I Was A Youngster still sound so fresh, because they weren't overplayed  Not really a fan of this though
April 29, 201214 yr Finally caught up from a little setback there having to type up the chart runs to Use Somebody and How To Save A Life... :drama: For some reason I thought it was Sex on Fire that was gonna re-enter. Nice surprise that it's US instead. Sex On Fire has been in the top 61 the last three weeks due to a 59p reduction as well :P Always far preferred this to Sex On Fire, what a great song. Is it anywhere near a million yet? I think Use Somebody is around the 900k mark, it will pass a million in the future I reckon. You'd think if you were the chart show presenter, you would try and find out why some old tracks are re-entering before you on air  You'd think that, but this is Reggie we're talking about here. 'The Man Who Can't Be Moved' and 'Drops of Jupiter' both re-entered following performances on The Voice UK though, but The Fray and Wheatus are purely re-entries on the back of a 20p reduction; which is just hilarious when you think about it. Drops Of Jupiter was performed on The Voice several weeks before re-entering - it had dropped out of the iTunes top 100, then got reduced and THEN went top 40. -x- > #31 [ from #30] > RIZZLE KICKS > “Mama Do The Hump” [5th single from “Stereo Typical”] > 97-44-18-12-10-5-3-2-4-7-8-12-15-14-16-18-21-22-19-20-30-31- > 20 weeks top 40; 21 weeks top 75; 22 weeks top 100 > #32 [ NON-MOVER] > LMFAO > “Sexy And I Know It” [3rd single from “Sorry For Party Rocking”] > 60-x(9)-20-7-5-8-7-7-8-11-17-13-17-16-19-9-11-15-18-25-25-24-25-16-16-15-17-18-19-22-25-32-32- > 31 weeks top 40; 32 weeks top 75 > #33 [ from #29] > JAY-Z and KANYE WEST > “Niggas In Paris” [4th single from “Watch The Throne”] > 76-37-27-18-10-11-11-14-23-29-33- > 10 weeks top 40; 11 weeks top 100 > #34 [ from #42] > THE FRAY > “How To Save A Life” [2nd single from “How To Save A Life”] > 29-16-10-6-7-5-5-5-5-6-5-4-7-11-13-19-23-26-25-25-24-28-28-39-39-34-35-46-51-51-62-63-58-40-44-53-62-57-72-76-92-... ...-90-96-99-x(5)-84-59-69-73-76-79-76-x(8)-93-x(43)-96-x(164)-42-34- > 29 weeks top 40; 44 weeks top 75; 55 weeks top 100 > #35 [ from #60] > KINGS OF LEON > “Use Somebody” [2nd single from “Only By The Night”] > 29-29-38-48-50-30-25-21-17-15-10-2-7-5-6-5-8-8-10-11-12-3-7-11-8-10-15-15-21-22-30-31-36-41-51-49-49-50-47-66-84-... ...-73-65-65-69-64-59-64-62-36-50-47-25-36-43-55-53-55-59-59-71-85-91-97-x(1)-92-60-80-98-88-82-71-76-x(1)-95-98-x(2)-... ...-99-x(18)-99-x(2)-93-x(2)-98-x(4)-94-x(1)-98-x(28)-94-63-80-62-89-x(11)-74-x(30)-60-35- > 35 weeks top 40; 68 weeks top 75; 88 weeks top 100 > #36 [ from #27] > LINKIN PARK > “Burn It Down” [1st single from “Living Things”] > 27-36- > 2 weeks top 40 > #37 [ from #36] > KELLY CLARKSON > “What Doesn’t Kill You (Stronger)” [2nd single from “Stronger”] > 71-21-11-8-8-9-13-13-8-12-15-22-27-26-30-36-37- > 16 weeks top 40; 17 weeks top 75 > #38 [ from #37] > LMFAO > “Sorry For Party Rocking” [4th single from “Sorry For Party Rocking”] > 96-51-30-29-23-27-33-37-38- > 7 weeks top 40; 8 weeks top 75; 9 weeks top 100 > #39 [ from #52] > RIHANNA feat. The trio takes their soulful, Celtic-inspired sound from artists like Van Morrison and U2, but Sheehan and O'Donoghue's former work as producers (working with the likes of the Neptunes) gives the Script a unique, contemporary sound flavoured by dance and R&B influences. An EP appeared in 2007, followed by the successful single "We Cry." The band's self-titled full-length debut appeared in 2008, and went straight to the top of the U.K. charts. - HMV Video here: gS9o1FAszdk Chart history (Year peak title): 2008 15 We Cry 2008 02 The Man Who Can't Be Moved 2008 21 Breakeven 2009 47 Talk You Down 2010 04 For The First Time 2012 42 Nothing
April 29, 201214 yr Talking of the video, i don't think you've shared your opinions on the Starships video ^_^ I think I shared it in the PF:RR thread. I quite like it. I was a little bit disappointed though, since the way people were talking about it, I thought it was going to be more pornographic. She should do a remix of it saying "Semen is meant to fly".
April 29, 201214 yr This chart really does suggest that there's no new music around. I wish radio stations would make their playlists bigger to allow for more songs to get exposure and therefore chart. Radio 1's is tiny compared to 15 years ago and Heart play about 15 different songs
April 29, 201214 yr As much as I love 'The Man Who Can't Be Moved' I wish it was 'We Cry' having this resurgence. 'We Cry' is still my favourite Script song, it is just brilliant and never got the success it deserved.

April 29, 201214 yr Some comments, as I've only just got in: Why the HELL is Moves Like Jagger back? :drama: Who is still buying Sexy & I Know It? :P Nice to see Rihanna back in, We Found Love is definitely one of the best on Talk That Talk, which was a rather poor album IMO.

I loved their first album so, so much and it's all because We Cry got me really into them.

It doesn't deserve to have a #21 peak :(

April 29, 201214 yr Loads of brilliant old songs in the chart at the moment - Ordinary People, The Man Who Can't Be Moved, How To Save A Life, Use Somebody... ...and ESPECIALLY 'Dakota'     Absolutely ECSTATIC at this returning and as high as #29 (even if it was eleven places higher on Wednesday). One of my favourite songs ever. (Stereophonics can only get a top 40 hit now through talent shows using their old songs it seems, what with their last lead single 'Innocent' missing out :P) Edited April 29, 201214 yr by B.r.É
April 29, 201214 yr Author Dakota is BY FAR the best thing Stereophonice did and my 2nd fave song of 2005
