As nice as it is that Domino FM have playlisted Redlight and Porter Robinson, but knowing this station they'll probably each get about 1 play a week, so it won't make any difference

Surprised to see Bom Bom there, it could potentially hit #1 at this rate

Domino FM..? It sounds very funny and you describe exactly the Capital FM..

In the last 10 songs, Capital have played Read All About It, Earthquake and Turn Me On - think that probably tells you a lot, surprised about the lack of Domino or Call Me Maybe in their last 10 songs, considering they seem to play them every 2 minutes.

Oh yes! Redlight's Lost In Your Love gets playlisted on Capital FM  If this gets decent airplay, I will be pleased!

Average A List song on Capital is played around every 90-100 mins, but they haven't stated what songs are in what catagery just a list of songs that they have playlisted. I wouldn't be suprised if Redlight and Porter Robinson are only played on the Fri/Sat night dance shows if your lucky, and if they chart (Top 40) they may increase the rotation to evenings/overnights and if they chart well (Top 10) they'll be played during the day. I would imagine that's how they normally work it.

Kiss on the other hand have Redlight on high rotation through the day at the moment, plus Radio 1 have A Listed it so it should get a Top 15 chart placing :) , I can't see it going Top 10 though :(

They've dropped Tulisa because she has a new song coming out. Surely they are not gonna wait for Jessie to have a new release before dropping her?
Capital is a more requested sort of show. Songs that get requested are the songs that get played, they do it a lot. So 'Domino' is more than likely still heavily suggested by the fans so they don't want to get rid of it just yet?
A few years ago they used to have request shows, and you could request absolutely anything and they'd try to play it. But recently I've heard people phone in and request a song, and they say "Sorry, we can't play it, it's not on our playlist". I think they absolutely cannot play anything that's not currently on the playlist (or has been in the past) anymore.

I remember when stations used to do mini listener chart shows based on what was requested and voted for the most including new upcoming tracks, but i hear none of that on local radios anymore!

They do it a lot in the US where we can vote for favourite songs and they run down the chart accordingly. Radio is really dieing out and running out of ideas imo

Time for another look at their most played (Thanks to Compare My Radio)

Most played (last 30 days). [] = position 2 weeks ago

[05] 01 Rihanna "Where Have You Been?" (241 plays)

[01] 02 Carly Rae Jepsen "Call Me Maybe" (241 plays)

[04] 03 Nicki Minaj "Starships" (238 plays)

[03] 04 Coldplay ft. Rihanna "Princess Of China" (230 plays)

[**] 05 Lawson "Taking Over Me" (229 plays)

[10] 06 Maroon 5 ft. Wiz Khalifa "Payphone" (227 plays)

[07] 07 Jessie J "Domino" (224 plays) <- increase in plays!

[08] 09 The Wanted "Chasing The Sun" (206 plays)

[**] 10 Alex Clare "Too Close" (196 plays)

To be fair that is more movement that in the UK Top 10, and more than a year's worth of chart action for the American HOT 10.

Last 10 Songs Played

18:03 Cheryl - Call My Name

18:06 Pitbull feat etc - Give Me Everything - THEY'RE STILL PLAYING THIS :drama:

18:10 Lawson - Taking Over Me - Signed to label who owns Capital

18:13 Katy Perry - Wide Awake

18.22 Jessie J - Laserlight - There's the Jessie J for the hour

18.26 David Guetta feat Sia - Titanium - 2 David Guetta songs straight after each other - it's like they don't even know what they're playing

18.28 Nicki Minaj - Pound the Alarm

18.33 Rihanna - Where Have You Been - There's the Rihanna play for the hour

18.37 Calvin Harris feat Example - We'll Be Coming Back

18.41 The Wanted - Chasing The Sun - Signed to label who owns Capital

Shocking. They have a policy where they play anything (from the 21st century anyway), as long as they play a song from the label that owns Capital, a song from Jessie J and a song from Rihanna?

They also played 2 Calvin Harris songs next to each other (We'll Be Coming Back and Where Have You Been).

Altogether, they played 2 David Guetta produced songs, 3 produced by Calvin Harris and 3 produced by Dr. Luke (and Pound the Alarm which sounds like it was produced by all three of those producers ).

Also, 9 out of 10 of those songs are electropop. No urban songs and no alternative/rock songs (although I don't know what that Lawson song is).

I heard Lawson at about 4:30pm, and then Nicki (PTA) at 10:30pm. I ALWAYS hear 'Give Me Everything' when I tune in, and i'm sick of 'Domino' as well.

Heart FM always play Give Me Everything aswell (weirdly, since you think the rapping would put them off, but they probably play a weird edit of it like they do with I Gotta Feeling). It's still top 50 on radio airplay. It's quite poor that it hasn't sold 1,000,000 yet considering all the radio airplay it gets.

HAHAHAHA just saw that Capital suggested the stupid idea of celebrity Olympics on twitter so I looked at their profile and someone requested Laserlight so they replied saying they were going to play domino for them

We had the radio on Heart on our way back from Manchester the other day, Give Me Everything came on... It lasted probably 2 minutes and was just Ne-Yo and Nayer's parts on loop. I found it quite bizarre...

Ne-Yo should put a solo version of Give Me Everything on his album, make life easier for the adult contemporary stations.
Suprised they haven't playlisted Cover Drive's new single ('Explode').
