October 18, 201213 yr What's your source on the gap getting closed to 3.3k? Maybe Leona performing on Stand Up To Cancer might help her reduce the gap even more, but if Leona has a chance the gap will need to be around 2k tomorrow! She should have booked in more promotion this week though. I wouldn't worry about the album if she manages to get a hit from Single 2 and another xFactor performance. Glassheart should hopefully still pass 300,000. Cheryl Cole arguably done much worse! I doubt she will even pass 200,000! The same guy who has given us the info this week: Leona Lewis has closed the gap slightly in the battle for this weeks top selling album. Currently about 3,300 copies behind Jake Bugg at no1 Source :) Edited October 18, 201213 yr by Envoirment
October 18, 201213 yr Glad to see Leona as closed the gap abit today, She has This Morning & Stand Up For Cancer tomorrow, Hopefully that will help her during the weekend sales! Still great seeing her top 2 tho :)
October 18, 201213 yr Forget Leona Lewis Placebo are back in the chart, i know Placebo will drop all week but i hope they can muster up another top 75 entry. Additionally the Pet Shop Boys on the singles chart will be the same as Placebo, come Sunday i would be happy to see both acts on the the top 75 charts.

I bet the lead today is 4.5K, if that's true, he may end up #2 after all. Edited October 18, 201213 yr by Thor

October 18, 201213 yr How does this guy know that the lead has been extended if there is no iTunes data? I suppose he's just making an assumption as Jake has been outselling Leona on itunes most of the week and may have seen how much he sold on itunes earlier in the week?
October 18, 201213 yr Author @JAMESINREHAB only due to the fact that iTunes sales are missing for yesterday. He's actually extended the lead. I bet the lead today is 4.5K, if that's true, he may end up #2 after all. If iTunes data is missing for yesterday it wouldn't effect the album chart much, it usually effects the single chart more than anything.
October 18, 201213 yr If iTunes data is missing for yesterday it wouldn't effect the album chart much, it usually effects the single chart more than anything. I think it would effect Jake more than others though as he seems to be selling more downloads than CDs and has been at #1 on iTunes all week...
October 18, 201213 yr If iTunes data is missing for yesterday it wouldn't effect the album chart much, it usually effects the single chart more than anything. In any case, he needs to be >4.5K ahead today otherwise Ms Lewis is going to overtake him. I was surprised how front loaded his sales were, I had assumed Leona would be more loaded due to the length of time its been on pre-order.
October 18, 201213 yr Saturday has to be Leona's day for her to catch up. Has to be a huge day for her or #2 it is, which is still good tbh not like she's missed top 10 imagine :\\\\ then I'd be worried. Edited October 18, 201213 yr by Karma
October 18, 201213 yr not like she's missed top 10 imagine :\\\\ then I'd be worried. I wonder what position it will fall to next week though - there's a fair few possible contenders to the Top 10 next week: Dappy, Dionne Warwick (a possibility as she's performing on Strictly this week and whilst the album is a greatest hits, it has non-singles on there), Lady Antebellum (perhaps a little early for a Christmas album?), Lawson, Taylor Swift (probably number one), and Tony Bennett (based on how well his previous duets album did, although that was boosted by the singles with Gaga and Winehouse). I can see Mumford & Sons and Jake Bugg staying ahead of Leona. I'm thinking she'll fall out of the Top 5, maybe #6-8.

I would be surprised if Leona stays top 10 for a second week TBH.
October 18, 201213 yr Daniel O'Donnell always seems to worm his way into the top 10 somehow as well. I would be surprised if Leona stays top 10 for a second week TBH. Yeah, there's him too! :P I did consider that Leona may fall out of the Top 10, but I can't be sure on how well some of the new entries will perform - Lawson and Dappy for example wouldn't surprise me if their debut position was lower than you would expect considering their singles debut weeks.
October 18, 201213 yr I don't think Crappy will pose much of a threat, although Lawson could surprise.
October 18, 201213 yr Leona is getting overtaken on iTunes when she needs to be pulling ahead to have any chance of reaching #1 - Jake Bugg is still #1 and Mumford & Sons are #2 and #8...Can see Leona being #3 on Sunday with a sharp fall the following week even as a fan i can see what a disaster this is based on her previous form and 25-30k opening week sales will do nothing to help the media regain interest in her or her next single.
October 18, 201213 yr Hopefully Jack can stay at the top - will be good to see him debut at the top as opposed to Leona 'Wheel me out at every XF series' Lewis Not in 2010 :heehee:
October 18, 201213 yr I don't think Crappy will pose much of a threat, although Lawson could surprise. I really hope Lawson can get off to a decent start although i have a fear that it will start off well and fade quite quickly although they do have 4 album signings in Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow and Southampton and im sure Capital will go into overdrive and rape SITD and plug the album all week. October 19, 201213 yr Chloe Fiducia “@SammPrice: Brandy's album is number 61 in the UK midweeks ..... Uh oh.” *shocking... 8:28am - 19 Oct 12 Surprised it's even as high as #61 tbh!
October 19, 201213 yr I really hope Lawson can get off to a decent start although i have a fear that it will start off well and fade quite quickly although they do have 4 album signings in Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow and Southampton. Surely they be hoping to sign more than 4 albums...
