You can pre-order a physical CD but it's not a sale until you go into the shop and collect it :D

I'm guessing alot would have been pre-ordered online as i don't think the Supermarkets offer a pre-order facility for CD singles instore

If Justice Collective sold 73,000 in one day, and James Arthur sold 76,000 in two days, then I think the former will win. Or at least be #1 for tomorrow's mid-weeks.
Wow tight race! Nice. So are we thinking Bruno's sales will drop off and it's between Olly and Buble for Christmas number 1 album then? I reckon Bruno will put up a fight personally.
Bubles sales will increase throughout the week i'd iamgine as Christmas gets closer - so I can see him easily winning the race come sunday
How do you think, how many albums with more than 100k sale we will have this week?

Maybe, do HMV still offer that facility? I think some % of those will be Physical

Yes - We had 5 pre-ordered :kink: Although as i said in another thread this single will be huge in certain parts of the country.

The Hillsborough tribute single has sold four times more copies than the X Factor champion's 'Impossible'

That headline does not match the confirmed data we already have in this thread. Looking at the article, it only refers to physical CDs

Emeli is going to be dominating this weeks album chart:

Emeli Sande's album Our Version of Events is likely to be Christmas No.1 after sales almost doubled after she sang on Sports Personality...

Alex Day has just tweeted that 'Stupid Stupid' is #10 in the mids!

Really :o A lot better than I expected to be honest, I'd be surprised if he managed to stay top 20 by the end of the week as it's falling at a very fast rate.

Before this week I'd have thought this'd outdo Lady Godiva as it's Christmas but clearly the 'let's get this to xmas #1!!!' effect hasn't worked so much this year.

Oh and this must be the first year since 2007 that there hasn't been a campaign to get a song to #1 for the sole purpose of stopping X Factor from getting it  And look who's at #1 in the midweeks B-)

Wow didnt think that would do it for her, thought Buble was a shoe in for the no1 album!!

Wonder what 'sales have doubled' refers to though?

If the Top 2 sell at the same rate as Impossible did last week, we could be looking at sales of less than 200,000 for the Top 2, which would be the lowest Christmas chart sales figures since 2004 or 2001, depending on which way you look at it. Utterly abysmal.

I'd assume it's as simple as it's sold double so far this week compared to last - So if it sold 10k up to Tuesday last week then it's on 20k this week.
