December 18, 201213 yr Sorry to be pedantic but JLS aren't on Syco, never have been. :kink: Oh, is it Sony or Universial? They all seem to merge into one half the time.  Still, if JLS are on a major label and they're struggling then you have to ask why aren't they getting the airplay. For me personally, JLS started getting crap the second they released the tragic 'The Club Is Alive'. Ok, it got to no. 1 but I pinpoint that as the turning point in their career and they've never really recovered since.

That was a career high that they would never recover from. :( :kink: Edited December 18, 201213 yr by ★ G R I E F ★
December 18, 201213 yr Author Sorry to be pedantic but JLS aren't on Syco, never have been. :kink: I know that, I meant their fans have moved onto other bands.
December 18, 201213 yr I know that, I meant their fans have moved onto other bands. I wasn't actually referring to you. @ Hits - They're on RCA. Not much better than Syco TBH.
December 18, 201213 yr Yeah this JLS release is bizarre, it's been so low-key for an act of their stature (even now they've faded). Same with Robbie's 'Different'. That might still become a hit in the New Year but it now looks like 'Hold Me Down' is just never going to do anything.
December 18, 201213 yr The release has been handled awfully, to be fair. I don't believe there are physicals and there's no sign of a music video either. Between the farcical handling of this and Leona's 'Lovebird', it's almost like Syco is trying to make the "old reliables" do as badly as possible. I was beginning to think this too :o Maybe they are trying to hinder JLS's success to ease their fans' move onto Union J ready for next year...

Yep both are bizzare release's - 'Candy' is still doing well and 'Different' was always going to struggle for airplay when the radio stations are clogged up with Christmas songs, Seems as though its been released to aide album sales however its not going to help if nobody knows its released  Same with JLS, For a boyband who base some of their success on their image then not to have a video for the single cuts off all means of promo in the absence of them not being on any TV shows. Maybe radio will grab hold of 'Different' in the New Year and JLS might get some kind of boost from the iTunes gift card market if the track remains at 59p?

December 18, 201213 yr All information about his success will go to him, wouldn't it? I thought that, but then it doesn't explain how he knows about S&S.
