There will be a chart update from Radio 1 at 4pm, hopefully we have the charts from MW as well, due to personal committments Gezza/Dasher is your host for this afternoon.

Also while I'm here, please note the footnote on page 1, post 1, regarding next week's mid updates. Furthernote from the chart mod team we wish you a Merry Xmas and a happy new year.

Haha surely it's a bit early to do that, Christmas is in 6 days and the new year in 13 days

So, I make it that the Justice Collective will sell over 208,430 copies and James Arthur will sell over 201,970 copies. Exciting stuff.

Emeli Sande's Read All About It Part III back in at #40...bet that P*SSES YOU OFF JUST A BIT! :D

Ooh! Girls Aloud back in too! Would be great if this could hold on for Sunday.

The Justice Collective have finally reached #1 on iTunes (didn't think they would do it as they fell behind quite significantly but they've obviously got a boost from somewhere). It is starting to look more in their favour but still hard to call between the two!

ONE POUND FISH TOP 40 :cheer: If only this was living up to its hype and challenging for #1. It'll probably die in the chart after this week but I hope it can manage some longevity :P

Yessss! I somehow doubt TJC will be number 1 though, as it's so close between them and I believe James will have a lead of over 10k by the end of the week. But nice to see it looks like it could go either way though and that it is a proper battle!
Why play a re-entry by GA and not a new entry by the £1 Fish man Greg?

Is this due to be the highest position Willy Moon's Yeah Yeah has been? Brilliant!

Bloody hell, Emeli Sande actually is number one in the albums! :o

Does anyone else think of the word 'drone' when they hear Emeli Sande's name? I also seriously don't care who is no.1. RIP Christmas chart excitement.
Me too! I love her as much as Bre hates her! :D

I don't even hate her that much, 'Heaven' is one of my fav songs of 2011. Her overexposure has just become ridiculous though. (And all her other singles since 'Heaven' have been either dull as shit or just shit in the case of 'Daddy' - I do still like 'Beneath Your Beautiful' but that's the only thing of worth she's done since 'Heaven').

Why play a re-entry by GA and not a new entry by the £1 Fish man Greg?

Because GA is higher. They play the HIGHEST new and re-entries, not the most significant ones. (That said they did play 'Read All About It (Pt. III)' as well which is a bit ridiculous).

-x-

Woooo at Willy Moon back in at a new peak and 'Figure 8' top 30

DJ Fresh back up to #24 :drama: He could end up staying top 30 for as long in this run as he did on his first run at this rate, not making the top 20 either time.

The Pogues still well clear of Mariah and only down 1, hopefully they'll pick up towards the end of the week and come close to the top 15 again.

But BYB is a Labrinth song...opps dont start that again lol!!!
Finally a reversal for Girls Aloud, now they just better stay top 40 as i just love something new.
