Anyway, I have a theory that the iTunes Chart makes people go mad. It's as if people want the thread to go off-topic so that they don't go mad with talk of Bridgit Mendler having a new iTunes Chart peak position. :(

I don't mind people going off topic but "ANYTHING IS BETTER THAN DISCUSSING ITUNES" is a ridiculous attitude - why the f*** are you reading the iTunes thread if you hate iTunes talk?

Not 'anything' is better, but Dido is. And no one is really saying that they hate discussing iTunes in the iTunes thread (as you correctly point out that would be ridiculous) we're just enjoying a discussion and are defending it against the posters who want nothing but a list of songs, arrows and numbers all the way through the thread. Tangents are good and give extra life to a thread.
