So after 2 huge singles where do you think this 3rd release from Macklemore will chart.

I reckon top 5. Its such a grower and has a brilliant message.

Fairly confident this will at least be another top 3 for them. Might be a #1 if it can sneak a quiet week.
Another #3 hit for them I think. It'll definitely be big especially with gay marriage having just been legalized and the media being pro-gay rights. I prefer Thrift Shop and Can't Hold Us to be honest but it's got a good message and one we rarely hear in the charts so deserves to be a hit just for that. The song itself sounds like a grower.

Definitely top 3. I doubt it will go to #1 but it will still be massive for sure, such a beautiful message and an amazing song

#28.

Yes, just like The Saturdays did...

Is it even possible for a post-album single to "sneak a quiet week"?

I suppose so. Like What's My Name? got a week at #1 selling about 50,000 I think.

It's been ages since a post-album single got to #1 now that I think about it. I think the last one was Little Things by One Direction which debuted there, or maybe Thrift Shop (I'm not sure when the song and the album were released in the UK).

I'm not sure about this. I mean, obviously it has a great message, it's already a big favourite among Macklemore fans and I think it has done well on the streaming chart, but I don't know whether it will be massive. I think it will quite easily be Top 10 and spend at least 5 weeks there or so, but I think its success may be a little over-predicted. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if it did manage to match the predictions and it certainly would be deserving.

It would be nice if some more post-album singles made #1. I know it's the sales and longevity that matter too but I think it's a shame that a lot of songs have missed out just because the song or two above them have been frontloaded (yet inferior) IMO.

I'd like to see Same Love do well. Top 3 would be great. I'm unsure how well it'll actually do though.

You are the single least witty person I have ever met.

Wasn't Little Things out the same week as the album? But I guess that does still count.

I think the last post album #1 single that wasn't out the same week as the album was Beneath Your Beautiful. There was Titanium, Paradise, Spectrum (although that was a remix that wasn't on the album so doesn't count), Beneath Your Beautiful and Little Things, but we've had none this year (I wouldn't count Thrift Shop whether the album was out or not, which incidentally I think it was, because it was totally unknown before TS blew up although it technically is still a post album single if the album was out first).

The official release date of Little Things was a few weeks after the album was released. I know it's a weird case, since it had airplay before the album release, but a lot of post-album singles did (e.g. You Da One, Best Thing I Never Had, Blah Blah Blah), so I still count it.

Last year there was Domino too.

Strange how we haven't had (m)any this year, but it's probably difficult for a post-album single to compete when the #1s are selling 150,000 each week.

Considering how highly Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' singles have sold in comparison to their album, this should hopefully do well. I would absolutely love it to get to #1, but even top 20 would be brilliant. When is it actually getting a UK push?

Early September is it's official release but it's climbing up itunes currently.

Don't really see this getting enough airplay to become a huge hit.

I'm really not liking this right now, yeah the lyrics are quite interesting and different but I'm not sure. I think Can't Hold Us is much better musically and the less said about the horror that was Thrift Shop the better!!

I've gone for top 10 only because the album hasn't sold that great and if Calvin Harris can go top 20 with his 9th single from a big selling number 1 album I can see this doing ok!

Oh my gosh I absolutely love this song, especially on a personal level. I'd love to be optimistic and say #1 which I fully believe it deserves but realistically I could imagine it being top 10, possibly top 5.
I would love it to reach #1, but it just screams T10 to me sadly :( it's my second most played song on my iTunes library, and is far better than Can't Hold Us and Thrift Shop.
