September 8, 201313 yr Just went and got the 'Listen' chart run to prevent later scrambling. Just need to hope there won't be more scrambling for the album chart! *breathes* Shame 'Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High?' dropped back out of the top 25 since Friday but still a climb (of only 1 place, but a climb is a climb) and of course the still superior 'Do I Wanna Know?' is still to come!
September 8, 201313 yr La La La is falling now fast. I wonder if it will reach the millionth sale this year :o
September 8, 201313 yr Can't believe Lifted is still ahead of this. That song is such a disappointment when compared to La La La. Arctic Moneys sandwich!
September 8, 201313 yr 'La La La' is so overrated. :( 'Lifted' is even worse, shame the brilliant 'Wonder' couldn't have been big.
September 8, 201313 yr 24 (from 36) Arctic Monkeys - Do I Wanna Know? [D] http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41osSUMMlHL._AA160_.jpg Chart Run: 11-18-19-20-21-18-15-15-21-30-36-24 [12 wks] Release date: 19-06-2013 Format: download only single Label: Domino Recording Co Video here: bpOSxM0rNPM Biography Arctic Monkeys are an English indie rock band formed in 2002 in High Green, a suburb of Sheffield. The band consists of Alex Turner (lead vocals, lead/rhythm guitar), Jamie Cook (rhythm/lead guitar), Nick O'Malley (bass guitar, backing vocals), and Matt Helders (drums, backing vocals). Former member Andy Nicholson (bass guitar, backing vocals) left the band in 2006 shortly after their debut album was released. The band have released four studio albums: Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not (2006), Favourite Worst Nightmare (2007), Humbug (2009) and Suck It and See (2011), as well as one live album At the Apollo (2008). Their fifth album AM is set to be released in September 2013, their singles "R U Mine?" , "Do I Wanna Know?" and "Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High?" (released in February 2012, June 2013 and August 2013, respectively), will feature on the upcoming release. The band's debut album became the fastest-selling debut album in British music history, surpassing Elastica's self-titled album and remains the fastest-selling debut album by a group in the UK. The band have won five Brit Awards—winning Best British Group twice, and have twice been nominated for Grammy Awards. Arctic Monkeys were heralded as one of the first group of acts to come to the public attention via the Internet (fan-based sites rather than from the band), with commentators suggesting they represented the possibility of a change in the way in which new bands are promoted and marketed. The band are also regarded as one of the most prominent bands to be part of the post-punk revival in the UK, after achieving commercial success and spawning two number one singles with their debut album. - Wikipedia Chart history (Year peak title): 2005 01 I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor -1- 2005 01 When The Sun Goes Down -2- 2006 04 Leave Before The Lights Come On -NAS- 2007 02 Brianstorm -1- 2007 74 505 -AT- 2007 05 Fluorescent Adolescent -2- 2007 20 Teddy Picker -3- 2009 12 Crying Lightning -1- 2011 28 Don't Sit Down 'Cause I've Moved Your Chair -1- 2012 23 R U Mine? -1- 2012 21 Come Together -OST- 2013 11 Do I Wanna Know?-2- 2013 08 Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High? -3- Discussion Thread Here

September 8, 201313 yr La La La is falling now fast. I wonder if it will reach the millionth sale this year :o Sadly I don't think it will :( Hopefully will in 2014! Arctic Moneys sandwich! Technically it's a La La La sandwich :P
September 8, 201313 yr This is one of my favourite tracks of the year now. I really want it to hang around for another 12+ weeks. I probably still won't be bored of it. So good.
September 8, 201313 yr Hopefully Lifted is #23 so we get a Naughty Boy sandwich! (and because the song isn't very good (in its original version, Kat Krazy remix tho)) Edited September 8, 201313 yr by Thermometer

Born and raised in Houston, Texas, she performed in various singing and dancing competitions as a child, and rose to fame in the late 1990s as lead singer of R&B girl-group Destiny's Child. Managed by her father Mathew Knowles, the group became one of the world's best-selling girl groups of all time. Their hiatus saw the release of Knowles' debut album Dangerously in Love (2003), which established the singer as a viable solo artist worldwide; it sold 11 million copies, earned five Grammy Awards and featured the Billboard number one singles "Crazy in Love" and "Baby Boy". Following the disbandment of Destiny's Child in 2005, she released her second solo album B'Day (2006), which contained hits "Irreplaceable" and "Beautiful Liar". Knowles also ventured into acting, with a Golden Globe nominated performance in Dreamgirls (2006), and starring roles in The Pink Panther (2006) and Obsessed (2009). Her marriage to rapper Jay-Z and portrayal of Etta James in Cadillac Records (2008) influenced her third album I Am... Sasha Fierce (2008), which saw the birth of her alter-ego Sasha Fierce and earned a record-setting six Grammy Awards in 2010, including Song of the Year for "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)". Knowles took a hiatus from music in 2010, took over management of her career and explored 1970s R&B, rock and roll, and African and funk styles. As a result, her fourth album, 4 (2011), deviated towards a more traditional R&B sound. A self-described "modern-day feminist", Knowles' songs are often characterized by themes of love, relationships and monogamy, as well as female sexuality and empowerment. On stage, her dynamic, highly-choreographed performances have led to critics hailing her as one of the best entertainers in contemporary pop music. Throughout a career spanning 15 years, she has won 17 Grammy Awards and sold over 118 million records as a solo artist and 60 million with Destiny's Child, making her one of the best-selling music artists of all time. The Recording Industry Association of America recognized Knowles as the top certified artist in America during the 2000s decade. In 2009, Billboard named her the Top Radio Songs Artist of the Decade, the Top Female Artist of the 2000s and their Artist of the Millennium. In 2013, she was also included in Time magazine's list of the 100 most influential people in the world. - Wikipedia Chart history (Year peak title): 2002 07 Work It Out -OST- 2003 02 '03 Bonnie & Clyde (Jay-Z Feat. September 8, 201313 yr (in its original version, Kat Krazy remix tho)) All the remixes are fab, but ofc Kat Krazy >>>>>>>>>
September 8, 201313 yr Surprising that 'Listen' has as few as 9 weeks top 40. Quite an unusual chart run, even before all its re-entries (two weeks top 40 then dropping to #51 before shooting back up to a new peak in the top 20?)
September 8, 201313 yr When 'Do I Wanna Know' first entered, I assumed it'd be a fanbase thing that would fall out within a couple of weeks. I do agree with the general consensus that they're on fire this era though, the video for 'Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High?' is BRILLIANT.
