When did 'It's My Party' get so high? At least 'Talk Dirty' will prevent it from being a #1.

I am torn between liking 'Work Bitch' and being indifferent. I do really like the beat but I don't understand what she's saying in some of it.

She's urging people to "go call the gov-a-nah!".

Jason's lead :cheer:

'It's My Party' is absolutely awful. Where exactly is the tune? Just her screeching yet more self obsessed lyrics over a generic production again.
Tom Odell's Grow Old With Me EP is ONLY at 55 in the album charts on iTunes. What's going on?
Perhaps people are beginning to realise that Tom Odell is a bit of a one-trick pony.

Thought the same - Was expecting this to be a hit especially as the track was charting in the Top 50 in iTunes prior to the EP release. The album seems to have got a decent boost from the single exposure though.

It's My Party is just AWFUL :( I used to love her music as well.

Not particularly rooting for anything this week~

I'm not shocked to see it that low at all, it should still give it a boost to the top 40 officially, and the song itself will climb back up, it's just the weekend effect knocking it down.

Didn't expect to see Jessie J so high - shame she'll be missing out on the #1 single AND #1 album though (Kings of Leon should outsell her).

Happy to see Jason Derulo, Jessie J and Avicii all rightfully in the T10 though - Tom Odell to reach the T40 too please!

Listening to Jessie J 'It's My Party' for the first time. Is it a Pink B-Side with cringey vocals or what?!
Great to see Jessie as high as she is! (gon get shot :()

Poor dat. :yahoo:

About Tom Odell, I'm a bit surprised and disappointed by his flopage. I think he's a quality artist.

I'd actually be surprised if Kings of Leon beat Jessie after how big her last album was :(

Of all these NE's, I'm supporting Avicii's You Make Me. So much better than Wake Me Up

I hope Jessie J starts dropping soon too, such an uninspired dirge. Ugh.

I probably shouldn't be that surprised that this weeks new releases get better and better as you look down the list. Talk Dirty is infuriatingly catchy admittedly, but definitely not worthy of number 1 and its slightly annoying that he's still going strong when he really is one of the dullest new artists of the past few years. I can't say anything about Jessie J's song that hasn't already been said and Avicii's song is actually growing but still weak compared to his work pre-massive fame.

Positive: I really thought this would be a first top 40 hit for CHVRCHES but it may not now :( although it could make it next week with the album out? I never thought I'd say this but I really like Birdy's new song, If she keeps doing original stuff, I MAY be able to forgive her for bast*rdizing People Help The People.

I think they will, Jessie's new album will be a bit Young Foolish Happy I think (it won't bomb THAT much, but it won't sell anywhere near as much as her debut).

Jason Derulo already causing melt-downs. I'm very proud of 2 Chainz getting his first #1. Hopefully one day he can get one as a lead artist. I know most people regard 2 Chainz as a bit of a joke, but you have to admit, he's a very good joke.

LMAO!

I can't believe it's 12 years since this song went to #1, this was everywhere when it came out. Has this ever been in the iTunes top 1500?
