October 2, 201312 yr I said a few days ago I wouldn't be surprised to see The Vamps #1 in the midweeks, they'll be incredibly frontloaded though with all their fans multibuying on day 1 so yeah I think OneRepublic have the official #1 in the bag. October 2, 201312 yr OneRepublic need to sell just over 3k more than The Vamps for each of the next four days to bag the #1, it could happen I guess. I love both tracks so I'm not bothered which gets to #1, but obviously OneRepublic will be around for a lot longer. The Vamps would probably drop 1-15 or something which wouldn't be great, it's been a long time since we had a fanbase buy song at #1.
October 2, 201312 yr Must be very unusual for a track to be number one in the charts without a version making the Top 5 on iTunes. I'm actually pleased they are number one, they are such a guilty pleasure for me. Wouldn't be too fussed if OneRepublic overtook them as I love that track too and will probably be ahead of The Vamps in a week or two. Not expecting a McFly style chart run for them like some are suggesting though.
October 2, 201312 yr Oh goodness, The Vamps at #1. As we expected - but their physical/bundle sales wil be hypersonicly front-loaded, and they are *miles* down on iTunes where it really counts. Their lead will be eroded rapidly.
