Really sorry to post in here (I'll delete it) but does anyone know where that thread went with the lowest selling top 10s?

I was following it & can't find it after searching & routing round the sales vault :(

Any help v appreciated.

It's in this section, entitled "Hit Today Gone Tomorrow"

The big questions are 'how far will the Vamps fall' and 'when was the last 2-out of the Top 10 drop'?

My guess to the second one is Rage Against The Machine's "Killing In The Name" falling 2-40 back in early 2010.

No, bit more recent than that

A fall from 2 - 14 from "Something New" by Girls Aloud, w/e 8/12/12

I completely forgot that song existed - must be because it is so forgettable. :P

'Ding-Dong! The Witch Is Dead' actually went 2-65 more recently than that. Completely forgotten already?

I could see The Vamps just about clinging onto the top 10 for a second week anyway.

At least it seems to happen to very good songs. :kink: (bar Ding Dong)

No point listing another lot of blank rows below 65.

As ever, amendments and corrections welcomed...

I just can't avoid this song on this board, can I?

Not that it's a bad thing, of course -

Seems like every time I do an extract from my data that "Magic Fly" appears. (It was me who brought it up two weeks ago in my Random Retro in a chart show thread)

Anyway, this appearence is in error, it never fell 2-16 - must be the "last week" column on my chart for that week is wrong as it should have been a rise from 27-16 instead.

Is this track really from 1977?

The clip isn't a later remix?

It sounds remarkably current

That is indeed the original 1977 version. It's really stood up very well despite being 35 years old. I must say I'm surprised it hasn't become a classic/household track.

First time I've heard it.

It sounds like so much dance music I've heard over the years, it's a shame they haven't been credited.

Space were in the Top 5 at the same time as Jean Michel Jarre, possibly the only time two French acts had instrumental hits that high simultaneously.

I loved it at the time but, as a mere schoolboy, couldn't afford to buy a copy :o

Miley, Lucy Spraggan, Chase and Status and Panic At The Disco should all hit the album top 10 midweeks, Pusha T, Dan Lec Sac, Prefab Sprout, Fratellis, The Feeling, Anna Calvi, Korn and Mayday Parade should all chart as well

I loved this at the time, but it must've been 25 years since I last heard it - thanks. :)

Hope Lucy Spraggen can somehow sneak in the Top 40 with 'Tea And Toast' - Love the song and pleased to see its being cherry picked from the album.
