October 13, 201312 yr 100k+, it could be on 150k too, I don't know exactly. We only highlight the hundreds. Ah right no worries it's actually been in there longer than I thought when it first started dropping!
October 13, 201312 yr The only decent version of this song is by Delilah, and even that version only pays lip service to the original.
October 13, 201312 yr I hope we hear something original from Jasmine soon - her voice is lovely and she's only 12 :o
October 13, 201312 yr 36 (from 36) London Grammar - Strong [D] http://a3.mzstatic.com/us/r30/Music4/v4/79/55/b4/7955b4c1-eca0-c606-c800-85a253dc2261/5051823095549.170x170-75.jpg Chart Run: 17-16-18-23-36-36 [6 wks] Release date: 01-09-2013 Format: download only single Label: Metal & Dust Recordings Limited Sales: 60k+ Video here: 6drfp_3823I download track listing 1 Strong (Edit) 2 Strong (High Contrast Remix) 3 Strong (Hackman Remix) 4 Strong (Fracture Remix) 5 Feelings Biography English trio London Grammar combined sparse electronic pop in the model of the xx with dramatic, big-voiced lead singer Hannah Reid, whose vocals evoke contemporaries Florence Welch and Natasha Khan of Bat for Lashes. Reid and guitarist Dan Rothman met in the dorms of Nottingham University where they began writing music together in 2009 and later added multi-instrumentalist Dot Major to complete the lineup. The following years saw them refine their sound with atmospheric electronics and subtle percussion and they often played to rooms of no more than ten people. Their popularity rose with the 2012 release of "Hey Now" which they uploaded to the internet and instantly found an online cult following. Their fans were not just in the U.K., but also on the other side of the world in Australia, where their self-released 2013 debut EP Metal & Dust reached the Top 5 of the iTunes chart. The same year they signed to Ministry of Sound and the single "Wasting My Young Years" appeared as the first release on the label. 2013 also saw them play a sold-out show at the Islington Assembly Hall and make an appearance at the Great Escape Festival in Brighton. - iTunes Chart history (Year peak title): 2013 31 Wasting My Young Years -1- 2013 16 Strong -2- Album Discussion Here
October 13, 201312 yr Very few songs have me in tears whilst driving in Asda's car park through the emotional beauty of the song. Strong by London Grammar is one of the exceptions. It looks like it might take the position for my favourite song of the year.
October 13, 201312 yr Thanks. :w00t: Jay-Z must of been amazing live. Sadly we don't get many mega stars like that come to Cardiff. :( It was in Dublin lol backward as Cardiff lol, he was epic but Timbaland was the highlight!!
October 13, 201312 yr I would never have expected 17 weeks for DIWK? or 6 weeks for this but I'm really happy for both
