"One More Sleep" Leona's first #3 charting single! So happy with how well it's done!

Jameela said Lily has 3 weeks at #1 - that was either a mistake or a spoiler.

'One More Sleep' is wonderful, truly believe it is the best thing Leona has done in a long time.
Sorry, but Underneath the Tree > One More Sleep.

It's a shame Kelly couldn't climb into the top 40 but I'm pretty sure she will next week, seeing her climb on iTunes.

I won't say what she said incase some of you didn't hear it ^_^

I didn't, but it isn't hard to guess. :P

And following on from my previous post, the biggest rise from Number 34 ever. Impressive but irrelevant in the big scheme of things
One More Sleep  Really grown on me in a big way recently, glad it is doing as well as it is!

Biography

Cleverly using dance music blogs as the platform to launch his career, Tim Berg, aka Avicii, has since become one of the most prominent producers on the burgeoning Swedish house scene. Born in Stockholm in 1989, Berg only started making music at the age of 18, writing and remixing tracks in his bedroom and then leaking them onto various blogs. Influenced by Daft Punk and Steve Angello, his melodic house sound gained a huge following, and led to support from Tiësto, who invited him to perform a weekly residency at Privilege in Ibiza, and Pete Tong, who released first single "Manman" through his Bedroom Bedlam label. After he remixed tracks for Little Boots, Robyn, and Dizzee Rascal, Berg's first mainstream release, the Ministry of Sound instrumental "Seek Bromance," became a huge hit across Europe and later in the U.K., thanks to a vocal version featuring Amanda Wilson. In 2012 he released the song "2 Million" after reaching that number of followers on Facebook, while his single "Le7els" and its accompanying video were nominated at that year's MTV Music Video Awards. Towards the end of 2012 he released his highly-anticipated collaboration single with Nicky Romero. "I Could Be The One" was a smash hit and was featured heavily on reality TV shows and radio play across Europe. In 2013, Avicii teamed up with Ericsson and creates the first "crowdsourced" track which enabled the producer to connect to fans and promote his brand. The single "3 Million" was released to celebrate the 3 millionth fan on his Facebook page. "Le7els" was nominated for the Best Dance Recording at the 2013 Grammys but lost out to Skrillex & Sirah's "Bangarang". Ahead of his debut album #TRUE, he released the single "Wake Me Up" in June 2013. Featuring Aloe Blacc, it reached the top of the UK Charts and confidently showed off his new musical direction. ~ Jon O'Brien, Rovi / iTunes

Biography

Lily Rose Beatrice Cooper (née Allen; born 2 May 1985), known professionally as Lily Allen, is an English recording artist and actress. She is the daughter of Keith Allen and film producer Alison Owen. Allen abandoned school when she was 15 and concentrated on improving her performing and compositional skills. In 2005, she made some of her recordings public on Myspace and the publicity resulted in airplay on BBC Radio One and a contract with Regal Recordings.

Her first mainstream single, "Smile", reached the top position on the UK Singles Chart in July 2006. Her debut record, Alright, Still, was well received, selling over 2.6 million copies worldwide and brought Allen a nomination at the Grammy Awards, BRIT Awards and MTV Video Music Awards. She began hosting her own talk-show, Lily Allen and Friends, on BBC Three. Her second studio album, It's Not Me, It's You, saw a genre shift, having more of an electropop feel, rather than the ska and reggae influences of the first one. The album debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart and the Australian ARIA Charts and was well received by critics, noting the singer's musical evolution and maturity. It spawned the hit singles "The Fear" and "f*** You", popular mostly in Europe. Allen and Amy Winehouse have been credited with starting a process that led to the media-proclaimed "year of the women" in 2009 that has seen five female artists making music of "experimentalism and fearlessness" nominated for the Mercury Prize.

In 2009 Allen announced that she would be taking a hiatus from musical activities. During 2010, Allen opened a fashion rental shop "Lucy in Disguise" with her sister Sarah, followed by the 2011 launching of her own record label. In 2013, Allen revealed that she had begun working on her third studio album. On November 12, 2013 Allen premiered the video for her first original song since 2009, "Hard Out Here", which will be released as a single on November 17. - Wikipedia

Hopefully Hey Brother wont get to #01 ... absolutely terrible. Not even a dance song really, just a whiney boring country song. It hurts my ears.

Oh lol. Well, I'm fine with Avicii missing #1. If 'You Make Me' couldn't do it then this certainly doesn't deserve to (and it would have been a #1 with terrible sales so as per my earlier post it's a good thing really that Lily has held on).

Lily Has a great run with this cover version. Congrats to her.

See you all next week for the Christmas chart :P :cheer:
