is ruth lorenzo anywhere after being selected for eurovision last night?

Surprised at Foxes easing into the top ten with this. It's a good song but not as good as Youth imo, and the majestic Clarity couldn't even make the top 20, bizarre.

It sounds like Marina and the Diamonds album filler, and yet she's never had a top ten hit with songs that are 100x better

I constantly have the Marina Diamonds remix on! so underrated as an artist.

great to see Paloma high up

I wonder if Shirley Bassey will enter the top 40 chart, she maybe representing UK in the ESC.
3rd.

Frankie lane, I believe in 1953 and guy mitchell, singing the blues 3 years after that :)

Wasn't he only tied at #1 for one of those weeks, though?

So pleased to see Foxes Top 10, Not getting the love for the Paloma track though and I loved her last album!

Thought Hobbie Stuart might have sneaked into the Top 100 by now too.

I thought the Dario G/Shirley track might have had some impact as it's been getting played on R2.

And I'm sure Shirley wouldn't touch ESC - The rumours are never true and all the media are saying Geri Halliwell, Stacey Solomon and Cilla Black are in the running! I'm sure the media just select flop/irrelevant artists and hope one of their predictions is correct!

Tiesto top 10. Good to see him finally looking to be getting a big chart hit, just a shame it didn't happen many years ago with his classic tracks like Love Comes Again, Suburban Train or Just Be, even though all were small Top 40 hits many years ago.
If only Paloma put 'featuring Pharrell' at the end, she'd be on course for number 1.

Is it? I listen to Radio 2 and I had no idea it even existed until last night.

8. Paloma Faith

10. Tiesto

Hope Paloma can sneak into the top 10 too.

That Tiesto track is so watered down and bland compared to a lot of his previous output, funnily enough just like Armin Van Buuren's track from last year.

Is it me or does the start of red lights sound exactly like I gotta feelin by the black eye peas.??

The verses also sound like Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream".

Yesss Paloma! I totally understand those who don't like it as it's very different for her and far from her best, but I still think it's a great song and I'm so glad it looks to make the top 10.

Like the Foxes and Tiesto songs too, so a good week for new releases. Shame none of them are gonna stop Pharrell...
