The full list of songs that beat M5 are 'Heart Skips A Beat', 'Stay Awake', 'All About Tonight', 'What Makes You Beautiful', 'No Regrets', 'Loca People' and 'We Found Love'

Ignore Jade - I definitely remember Rihanna beating M5

Here's hoping someone attempts to sing Adele this year to put her back to number 1. I like Blurred Lines but it just isn't worthy of all time most downloaded song. -_-
I do find it weird how Robin Thicke managed to come back with powah powah 6 years after his only UK hit. The song is undeniably massive though and a deserving winner (for now, surely 'Happy' will outsell it soon?)

I'm actually concerned that Happy WON'T outsell it!

Someone do the maths!

It has about 200-210k to catch up and is currently still selling 30k a week and not decreasing very quickly at all, I think it's a fair bet.

Sorted! ;)

'A lot of you think Umbrella'

It's weird to think how a lot of chart listeners have no idea how well singles sell :o

My fave was someone texting in saying "I still remember Gotye being number 1 for 4 weeks... UGH"

I was all like, well, bad news, 5 weeks actually. -_- :cheer:

I wonder why Alexandra's Hallelujah seems to be missing? Did it really sell that many physicals?

I remember it selling loads of physicals (possibly as much as 500 K?) - I think it was when Woolworths was going under and they were selling loads of tat for next to nothing. I know my Nan has a copy of it.

It shifted loads from the Woolworths closing down sale. People were going frantic for their 10p copies of "Hallelujah".

Released just prior to Woolies closing forever and needing to get rid of their stock. Plus physicals were still doing alrightish in 2008.

Wait is that actually true?

It wouldn't have sold as much as it did if it hadn't been for that shop closing down?

There's no way to conclusively prove it but yes, pretty much that is the case

I would have thought the same if it wasn't for Buzzjack!

Still massively overpriced.
