I think, in a strange way, that is part of the appeal. It seems like a total non-starter of an idea but somehow it works. Perhaps part of it is the idea of seeing a builder who is also a very good baker.

Norman reminds me of my Grandad :wub: I love him.

Richard, Nancy, Martha seem to be the strongest of the team so far. I did think Claire would somehow survive, but she was a bit of a tizz, I really thought Jordan or Iain were leaving. I must admit Nancy was the star baker. I don't have a favourite yet, I guess that will shine through in future episodes.

Liking Norman so far (though I hope he doesn't turn into another Brendan). The right person went, she was annoying me already!

I feel like they're trying to make some sort of tension between Nancy and Martha. Both are my favourites anyway.

I watched this for the first time, it's rather middle class isn't it? :lol: It was actually quite pleasant viewing, maybe something that will get more exciting as it goes along. I quite liked Claire actually, she was my favourite of the not very good bakers!

I was decidedly NOT TAKEN by anyone either, not at either end of the spectrum, which is disappointing. I didn't like Claire very much, so glad she went, but that was mainly because she was too BUBBLY.

 

Nancy and Norman are probably my favourites at this stage, but we shall see.
