September 2, 201412 yr I should think Proclaimers & Paolo might climb in as well. Possible 5SOS too but they seem to stalling in the 31-40 region currently.
September 2, 201412 yr G.R.L. in bigger than the Saturdays shock. :P So that makes the UK the 4th country they've had success in with this song after Australia, New Zealand, and Ireland but yet their native US is still ignoring the song!
September 2, 201412 yr Wow thought Duke would have been 45-50k in this update looks like his preorder didnt sell very well. The Script could take the No1 if they can maintain a lead. In the albums Ed should retake No1 - thought Maroon 5 would have sold better - theyll be lucky to do 30k at this rate!
September 2, 201412 yr They're not strictly "native US" with Canadian & British members too. They're a US-based act though. One of them was a former contestant on X-Factor US (Simone Battle).
September 2, 201412 yr Poor Duke. :( The Script are so overrated. Really surprised at G.R.L. being #4 in the update. Maybe they will hang on to a top 10 place after all.
September 2, 201412 yr I think it's inevitable The Script will beat it to #1, frustratingly. I hope Duke can at least keep top 2 in that case. Only 6k lead?!?! That's shocking, I really hope Duke can hold on but sadly I can see The Script climbing to number one just hope streaming may cost them a few sales
September 2, 201412 yr That update indicates the Script have a wonderful chance now of securing a second number 1 single, fingers crossed. I would have liked to see Maroon 5 number 1 in the albums but it will not happen now, top 3 they better stay. Ed Sheeran will likely return to number 1 now.
September 2, 201412 yr YAS at Maroon 5 looking to miss #1 in the album chart :D I think Royal Blood should hold onto #1 for a second week unless Ed has promo later in the week, they aren't in their first week any more so it's not like their sales this week will be heavily frontloaded. Looking like The Script could get that #1 single though :drama: Really hope they fall short, such a formulaic and uninteresting song...
September 2, 201412 yr Ouch, I expected better for Maroon 5, especially since they're probably going to drop. Yay at Cheryl back in the top20 though :cheer:
September 2, 201412 yr I reckon Royal Blood will cling on, as Bray said their drop off through the week will be minimal so it will only be Saturday sales which might hurt them. Managing to do what The 1975 couldn't this time last year (although hardly fair given their second week was against Arctic Monkeys). Has The Kooks' release been put back?
September 2, 201412 yr Author Has The Kooks' release been put back? There is no sign of their album on the LPB albums, I'm guessing the release has been pushed back.
September 2, 201412 yr The Kooks album was pushed back to the 15th September I believe, got an email regarding my pre-order a while ago now. Disappointed to see The Script so close behind Duke Dumont already, looks like they will be getting their second #1. I'm a fan of both, but I just wanted Duke Dumont to secure a third consecutive chart topper. Royal Blood at #1 already is a good start, hopeful they can spend a second week at the top. Maroon 5 should be looking at a #4 debut I reckon, shame as "Animals" and "Maps" are both actually quite decent songs.
September 2, 201412 yr Would be funny to see Duke miss #1 when the record label deliberately pushed it back a week in order to get the #1. Shame that it means The Script will get another #1. At least Superheroes isn't half as bad as Hall of Fame but it's not brilliant either
September 2, 201412 yr I'm a little surprised Maroon 5 aren't no.1 on the albums but then if you lead with a single like Maps, you're hardly going to win over any fans to the causes. What's more disturbing is the fact people are still buying that Ed Sheeran drivel.
September 2, 201412 yr Woah, didn't realise The Script were a contender until seeing iTunes a couple of hours ago! Hope they get the #1, it's a pretty nice song and I far prefer it to Duke Dumont.
