That boost for Union J is pretty big! Could end up #1 tomorrow.

Ella's performance has given the album a big boost. So even if the single doesn't, I can imagine the album will re enter the top 10.

To be fair UnionJ did a very good professional job, as did Ella (as expected).

 

Still think 'Ella's team' did very little promo for this and there was no buzz leading up to the performance (no new single pack, no video). That said Chapter One is now #8 and climbing which I guess was a major aim.

To Be fair, Yours has climbed a good 50 or so places, that's a good boost I think :P I think it will go top 10 within 24 hours, can see it doing similarly to Like I Can.

Good for Union J, sounds like a pretty good song actually, colour me surprised!

I thought it would boost the album more than the song for Ella. But good news is that heart playlisted yours, so hopefully airplay will pick up as the week progresses to help stabalise and perhaps even boost it higher once the X-factor effect wears off. ^_^

Can I ask, I heard that some Xmas songs always get discounted to 59p on the 1st of December every year, does that normally happen at midnight straight away or is it during the day?

I'd love some different XMAS tracks get more of a boost as well as the usual Wham, Mariah etc who always benefit the most. Stay Another Day would be a prime example. Would love it to re-enter the top 40 or top 50 at least :(

Ella is at 16 now. I reckon top 10 tomorrow.

 

- the thing with the Leona updates is that, regardless of whether you're a fan or not, it's interesting to see if a Christmas song that isn't decades old, can become a reoccurring hit. There have a been a few attempts from Coldplay etc, but they've never managed to come close to becoming a modern Christmas classic. The updates of Leona could probably be scaled back a little and are probably a bit full on (I'm obviously guilty of that too) but I do think it would be exciting to see NEW Christmas song managing continuing success year after year, and that's why watching One More Sleep on iTunes is interesting.
