Kind of crucial to make sure it gets some follow up success if they want it to be something that becomes a christmas classic and sells year on year.

^ I agree. I think it's a good investment for a record label to promote a song like this each year for a few years, since after a few years it'll get to the point where it'll sell (and get airplay) without them needing to promote it at all.

It'll hopefully feature on the Christmas compilations next year to help it out. Shame it isn't in the 59p batch, perhaps next week? As I'm pretty sure the 59p songs changed from week to week last year (I think Mariah was 59p for a week or two then put back to 99p). Doing well so far though, going top 100! Hopefully it'll climb more on iTunes as the week goes on and scrape the top 100 officially on Sunday. :D

Should get to #5 tomorrow. The top 4 have a bit of a lead though. Annoyingly this song doesn't have an official upload on YouTube yet, and there isn't a non-live upload of the original version by Foy Vance either.

#92 now. It's a shame it's being released now and not in January (though I don't think waiting any longer would help it). Glad Oliver Heldens is getting anoter hit to his name anyway, best producer around at the moment. I reckon it'll have to settle for #3/4 though - not sure what behind.

 

I would like to see Union J holdup to the existing level if they are to stand a chance of having a decent size hit. A number 1 would be great for them.

I'd love it to be #1 but there's been much higher pre-positions that didn't even get #1. I hope it gets top 10 at least B-)
