Hozier finally top 20 - and he may climb further yet, coming to break Imagine Dragons' record for latest point in an unbroken chart run to reach a peak? Still sounds great so hooray for its continued success

Aside: some fun coincidences in the album chart this week. 38/40 of the top 40 are the same as last week, with a new entry from a rapper (Nicki Minaj) and a boyband (5 Seconds Of Summer) kicking out last week's only two new entries, which were by a rapper (J. Cole) and a boyband (Union J).

Glad to see this top 20. I feel like it'll still peak higher, though.
Biggest sleeper hit of 2014? Only other hits like this I can remember in recent years are The 1975's "Chocolate", Awolnation's "Sail" and Foster the People"s "Pumped Up Kicks". I remember hating this the first time I heard it (months and months ago, when it was #1 in Ireland), but I've really grown to enjoy it.

See, not all BJSC hits have short chart runs! :D

hooRAH for this going top 20 finally!

I'm still excited to see what's chosen as the follow-up to this. He has so many great tracks on 'Listen' to choose from, I personally think he should leave the Emeli Sande one a bit longer.

'S.T.O.P.' (aka 'A Sky Full Of Stars') would be my number one choice.

Or the Bebe Rexha one, I desperately want her to get more exposure.

Yay grab that top twenty peak Hozier! :cheer:

Just catching up~

* :yahoo: 'all of me' has finally left the building :w00t:

* still loving blonde :wub:

* 'let it go' needs to DIE :mansoncheer:

You missed someone from that list :P

+ me

:( 5-21 for Oliver Heldens is such an undeserved plummet, pfft.
So happy for Hozier! Absolutely brilliant song and one of the stand outs of 2014. Really deserving of a high chart position.
Has Take Me To Church now achieved the longest time in the top 40 before being top 20?

Biography

Although the first solo single from soul-inspired, London-born artist Sam Smith was issued in early 2013, it was his soaring vocal contribution to Disclosure's October 2012 U.K. garage track "Latch" which brought him to most people's attention. For most of his teens, Smith balanced study with music, soaking in the raw and passionate approach to performance exemplified by his favorite artists at that time such as Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, and Chaka Khan. "Latch" hit the upper reaches of the U.K. singles chart when Smith was 21, and many were surprised when his debut solo track took a more tempered path. The production on February 2013's "Lay Me Down" — also courtesy of the ordinarily dancefloor-focused duo Disclosure — recalled the stripped-back material that had proved successful for Adele in the preceding years. Next, Shahid Khan — aka Naughty Boy — decided to follow his Emeli Sandé-fronted U.K. Top Ten hit "Wonder" with the infectious, Bollywood sample-driven "La La La." Featuring Smith's powerful lead vocal, it became an instant May 2013 U.K. number one single following his spring tour in support of Sandé. - iTunes

Radioactive?

Can this song just go away already. I think I'm more sick of this than All Of Me and Let It Go.
