February 19, 20205 yr Finally have been to see something for the first time in ages!! Carly Rae Jepsen at Columbia Theatre this evening. She was so so so much fun
February 20, 20205 yr The sad moment when what would have been only my 4th concert ever (excluding festivals) is cancelled. How dara Lana become ill x Ah well, still 2 other concerts planned for the year to look forward to B-) (I was going to make a point of 'but Joseph has been to 500 concerts and like 2 of them were ever cancelled!!1' but looking back at his list his 4th concert ever was also cancelled lol)
February 22, 20205 yr I saw Bowling For Soup and Simple Plan last week and both bands were amazing. Bowling For Soup I had seen once before and loved them which is why I wanted to see them again as they are a great live act. Simple Plan I hadn’t seen before but I’ve enjoyed their music and I’m glad I’ve actually seen them live now. My next planned gig is Pussycat Dolls in April. I just booked my accommodation and transport. This week I also bought tickets to see Ozzy Osbourne and JLS.
February 24, 20205 yr Booked for JLS' reunion tour at The O2 in December last week :D Westlife are playing up the road from me in Colchester in July - although it's not sold out yet so I'm gonna judge a bit nearer the time and see if any tickets go on a Groupon deal or similar. Also not strictly a music 'gig' but have seen that Rob Beckett is doing his stand up tour in Brentwood in October which I would like to go see, I think he's hilarious
March 13, 20205 yr 2020: 29/02 - Lana Del Rey - CANCELLED 17/04 - The Joe and Dianne Show (Joe Sugg and Dianne Buswell) 01/05 - The Bootleg Beatles (with Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra) 22/05 - BROCKHAMPTON 30/07 - Lady Gaga Really hope Lana remains the only one cancelled :(
March 13, 20205 yr I've got Kiana Lede, GaGa and Pussycat Dolls but pretty fearful all of them will be cancelled :(. Especially PCD. If Tove Lo and Halsey are the only concerts I go to this year, then what a way to go out at least!
March 13, 20205 yr I'm totally expecting my other upcoming concerts to be cancelled now (which would bring me up to 50% cancellation rate lol). Hopefully if that's the case they'll at least be rescheduled (it took a while for BROCKHAMPTON to actually announce touring in the UK, going to be beyond gutted if that now ends up never happening after all because of this). Honestly it's probably the right move for all concerts etc. to be cancelled for the near future until things calm down a bit, doesn't make it less disappointing though.
March 13, 20205 yr Got Pussycat Dolls in April, Download festival in June, Little Mix in July, Elton John in December. Have a feeling the first 3 will be cancelled depending how long this all goes on for
March 13, 20205 yr Basically all (bar two) of my concerts this year are in April, May and June so I'm fully expecting them to be postponed/cancelled now.
March 13, 20205 yr Agnes Obel has postponed her gig in April :( Although at least it’s not completely cancelled
March 14, 20205 yr The right thing is to surely cancel all concerts in March/April and maybe May and then take it from there.
March 14, 20205 yr Managed to get to Embrace et al tonight, they were alright and Starsailor were quite good as well given I didn't know any of their songs. Lots of impromptu Coronavirus remarks from the bands as well - just glad it went ahead really. Had Caribou booked sometime in April as well but not looking good for that sadly.
March 16, 20205 yr A gig I was planned to go to tomorrow (Leddra Chapman) has been cancelled as she's unwell herself. I'd feel uneasy going to it right now though anyway so was a bit hesitant about going even if it had been going ahead. Also got a ticket for Dermot Kennedy at Alexandra Palace in two and a half weeks but I see no way that will go ahead.
March 17, 20205 yr Update: 2020: 29/02 - Lana Del Rey - CANCELLED 17/04 - The Joe and Dianne Show (Joe Sugg and Dianne Buswell) - CANCELLED 01/05 - The Bootleg Beatles (with Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra) 22/05 - BROCKHAMPTON 30/07 - Lady Gaga Eep. I think Gaga is probably the only one that has a chance of going ahead :(
March 18, 20205 yr I've got Dua Lipa scheduled in at the end of May, but I'm expecting that to be cancelled now. :(
March 18, 20205 yr Every single gig I had booked, that has now been cancelled, has been rearranged for August. That's optimistic. It's highly unlikely any act has insurance to cover them or their audience for Covid-19
March 18, 20205 yr Meanwhile Pussycat Dolls are still having ads for their tour on Facebook and next to no intentions on cancelling yet lmao.
March 18, 20205 yr Meanwhile Pussycat Dolls are still having ads for their tour on Facebook and next to no intentions on cancelling yet lmao. I know, wtf is all that about. If they don't cancel it are people still going to go. I don't wanna lose out on money
