Demi needs to be top 150 by the end of this week I think to stay in #1 contention for the week after, hopefully she can do it!

Looks like only 2 new entries next week.

X Factor starts 2 weeks Saturday, I wonder if tracks stay longer in the chart now before trailing off.

Ella Eyre looking to miss the top 40 at this rate, oh dear :drama:

Aren't Ella's tracks normally 59p on itunes? That normally helps her get a Top 20 hit. Though in fairness Good Times is weaker than the mighty 'Together'.

Pictures of her signing her album went up on her social media earlier - so is 'Feline' getting released on the 28th? You can't pre-order it on Amazon :(

They also normally do considerably better on pre-orders than this has :P

Obviously quality is subjective, but 'Good Times' couldn't be more similar to 'Together' and I think that's perhaps why people aren't getting into it. I've tired of 'Together' now so I'm not going to be able to enjoy 'Good Times' either. Plus it seems to have had less support than her other singles.

Isn't Summerslam coming up this weekend? Not sure how much effect it usually has but it should get a nice boost from that. I think Demi's still got a strong chance of #1, though 'Fight Song' might give her a run for her money~

As for Ella Eyre, I'd be astounded if Good Times missed the top 40 (don't think it will though), to me it actually sounds like more of a 'hit' than Together?

I think it does too  Which makes the fact that it has v~poor pre-orders even more astounding to me. Hopefully it goes top 40 but I'm really not sure at this point.

It could take forever or never for Ella to produce the SONG that finally gets the publics attention. It's a real shame as she's a extremely talented vocalist and for me deserves to be doing as well as Jess Glynne should be.

That said I'm not huge on 'Good Times' so I don't care for that tracks chart position but even then I still hope it doesn't miss the top 40 in it's entirety :/

Edited by Rob S~

Ella Eyre has another single out next month, its a shame its a cover version of Swing Low Sweet Chariot, which most likely it will chart as its the Rugby World Cup theme track been hosted in England next month.
For me Comeback was by far the strongest thing Ella released. Everything else has been sub-par. I feel bad for her though, I can see the album hugely under performing and her not getting a second era, at least one that is supported by R1 anyway. Unless she manages another really big hit as a featured artist.

Ooh yes I heard she had the theme song for that, I had no idea when it was! So hopefully that'll give a nice boost to pre-orders, but like you say Fight Song is looking very strong now. We could very easily end up with Fight Song being the Marvin Gaye and Cool For The Summer being the Don't Be So Hard On Yourself!

Don't expect anything as big as a rise as David Guetta - Rise got! (i.e. into the top 50) I doubt it'll have much effect at all tbh. Although it would be marvellous if a WWE event could boost up a mainstream pop song!

363. R City feat. Adam Levine - Locked Away

This is currently #2 on American iTunes, can see this blowing up here. Straight up reggae vibes.

464. Lethal Bizzle feat. Shakka - Playground

Surprised how much this has dropped, but the great news is that Shakka has been signed by a major label today :cheer:

Sony have made some dope signings recently, first Bonkaz now Shakka. Great to see the UK scene getting more exposure!

 11. Walk The Moon - Shut Up And Dance...... Shocked at its longevity! :o

Oddly it always screamed long running No.4 to me...a la Heaven Is A Halfpipe, The Bad Touch *insert multiple other pop rock long running US No.4 hits*

Summerslam is on at midnight until 4AM on Sunday night/early hours of Monday so unless if the night owls (like myself ) have iTunes accounts then don't expect any boost whatsoever for Demi Lovato's song. Also the PPV event is on Sky Sports Box Office so it's not free-to-air which means there will be even less viewers for that reason.

 158. Demi Lovato - Cool For The Summer

 193. Hailee Steinfeld - Love Myself

Demi climbing very nicely now, and Hailee has made a return to the top 200! :o
