it's not just that it's not going #1, it's the proportion of the flop (if Mint's twitter is correct)

wonder if all these people criticising Forever Young have even heard the original version which is upbeat and pretty decent

This. Could they have sucked any more life out of the track with this dire arrangement?

I'm glad you've said that. It's a great ballad. I've always loved it. It is an awful arrangement and fundamentally has switched people off is my guess. I barely recognised it

Still better than the Reggie N Bollie version but then so is stepping in cow pat.
I love the Louisa song but as a debut single, it's easy to see why it's struggling so much. I'm sure she'll be able to prove herself with her album.

After this, there'll be *no* album - she'll be lucky if Cowell gives her bus fare to the nearest job centre!

On the plus side though, this will kill XF stone dead. :yahoo:

There will be an album, she's the winner, she's signed a record contract. A winning single is no indicator of future success.

Heck maybe this may cause them to move x factor to summer and bgt to christmas hmmmmmm

If its an historic chart flop it certainly wont do her any favours to have her name negatively tagged, but sure she'll get an album, whether it might effect the budget they allocate, who knows.

I get the feeling the press will go after the XFactor being finished more than a 17 year girl though. Her best bet next week is to keep a very low profile...

I really don't rate all the "BUT IT'S FOR CHARITY" vibes.

Yes!

That makes me root against it even more because it is clearly engineered to make the song more successful, if you want to give to charity: do so, but don't buy some awful song because you feel guilty!

Do we have the sales or Get Weird? And how far away it is from Jess Gylnne?

All the sales we have are posted, it's just a Music Week top 40 today.

Aly - Louisa probably coming for a low top 10 debut :(

Dobbo - Sigma/Rita are #16, Mariah is #13!

Louisa :drama: Any idea where Kylie and The Overtones are in the charts please? I see that The Overtones have reduced their album and climbed massively on the iTunes chart to #6
So around 370-380K for Adele.. not too bad for week 4 :P
