1183. Riton feat. Kah-Lo - Rinse & Repeat (PRE-ORDER)

I've heard this a lot on late-night 1Xtra, has definite crossover potential. 4th March release date does looks very unnecessary, but the label must really want a high peak.

It's so silly holding it back for that long, just let songs grow in popularity!!!

The download market is fading away so quickly that holding back releases simply isn't effective any longer.

Combined/Weighted

NHS Choir 1.000

Just Bieber 0.627

Need to keep pushing Justin down further if they're to have a chance at overcoming his lead. Shame they don't have a physical, as I'm sure that would've made things much closer.

Stuff like NHS Choir/Military Wives/Justice Collective etc for me is just as bad as the X-Factor winner's singles and the finalist's ones that were briefly a thing. I struggle to even classify it as "music", it's just god-awful and nothing more than a cold and cynical ploy for publicity.

For some of the members on here's sake I hope the NHS choir don't get the #1! They'll probably only sell about 55k.

It's really sad to see the decline in iTunes/download sales though. :( With the gift card effect, could sales get back above 3 million? I'm really not sure.

Predictions on NHS Choir's position next week? I say No.70. Streams and sales will both be pretty high and nobody's going to be buying or streaming that...could fall out of the top 75 altogether as I suspect 15k could be required for that sort of position.

I think NHS Choir wont even be in the top 100 next week, especially because they don't seem to be doing well at all on streaming.

Kworb latest: no movement from last update - 1.2 v 0.75.

Completely agree (although I do like the winners' singles a lot of he time) I don't see why people can't just give some money to the charity when I'm sure they don't want or like the song. I'm sure some people do but I doubt it would be many at all!

Come on Justin. I'm so worried now because if chris Evans promotes again tomorrow and thurs they could do it.

Amazon sales are probably helping too as people are downloading multiple times across all channels.

I've streamed Bieber 20 times on Spotify (Mine and mates account 10 each) and Apple Music 10 times (Every little helps right :))

On loop here too! Wouldn't mind if the NHS track was any good but it's a real dirge.

Hopefully interest in the campaign has plateaued given the big push this morning. Difficult to believe it will continue to snowball - surely there's a limit to the kind of person who will to download a song they'll never actually listen to in order to show solidarity with the NHS.

The race is already over unless NHS Choir can somehow get to a lead FAR bigger than the one they have now. iTunes sales will not be enough for them to catch up to Bieber's current 7k lead when he continues to steamroll them on Spotify.
I just wish Sorry was the Bieber song in contention for Xmas No.1, now that would have been a fantastic result. Couldn't care less about Love Yourself and care even less about a two year old charity record bland cover, at least Wherever You Are was an original song (which I loved) and felt a lot more heartfelt personally.

Is the download market fading away because so many OAOS singles are dead on arrival though?

I think this is a touch on the harsh side! In the end a choir at Christmas is kinda fitting (and so is a charity song for that matter), I wouldnt want it every xmas but as a one off its fair enough.

I would give Bieber some credit though he has had a good year and put out some strong songs (plus I wouldnt want some of you guys to lose their dosh, some seem to be getting a bit frantic haha)

No, it's fading away because people are increasingly switching to Spotify... was this a serious post?
