Oh! I heard "Ecosmith - Come together" at a sumo wrestling tournament in Japan a few years back. It was just SO random! I heard it while trying to tune my translator/back story device thing (?) I got at the entrance. It didn't work as it should, so I was tampering with it and all of a sudden that song came on. So incredibly random! :D

Apparently some people who I follow on Tumblr have and all of a sudden 5 Fine Frøkner is everywhere on my dash

 

I was screaming "ASHTONISE CLASSIC" while everyone else was going off on some ship

I LOVE SKAM. It's so good with music - while it's about teenagers, the showrunner is in her early 30s, so you get a real mix of stuff and she loves including late 00s scandi stunners like Robyn and Lykke Li. 5 Fine Frøkner is such an unexpected song for the scene it's part of - really gives the song a different complexion.

Just heard (not for the first time) 'Love Mera Hit Hit' in an Indian restaurant (makes sense I suppose but still, was a slightly surreal moment).
