This is not in any way an “unexpected place” because it was literally my birthday party but the DJ put on ILLIT’s It’s Me on during the evening, purely because “it sounds like something you’d love”.

  • Whenever this thread is bumped the memory of this post makes me laugh

  • I was in a bar being run by a lovely lesbian on Monday so I got to hear Muna and Sarah Kinsley back to back, which was a bit of a *.* moment after last year. But I also heard Don’t Sweat It by Daisy

I heard Golden Ticket by Highasakite in Brussels-Midi train station last week. Had never heard that in public before, don't know if it's well-known in Belgium or just a coincidence!

Pretty Varied, lots of obscure oldies I didnt know, a couple of recent lesser known tracks, loads Ive forgotten to list, and style of music varying with the volume levels. Packed as always with a mixed male/female gay/straight - but mostly gay male of mixed ages, tending towards the older, and a moment memorable in it's "you will never see this outside of the Vauxhall tavern" uniqueness: an older chap with a walking stick in one hand, a pint in the other, bravely tackling some steps towards the edge of the venue while Prodigy's Smack My Bitch Up was playing very loudly....
