April 2, 20179 yr Wait, I thought they announced last week that there wasn't going to be a winner's single for The Voice? It's a winners 'ep'
April 2, 20179 yr I think it's safe to say the voice winner is unlikely to make much of an impact on the charts. None of the previous winners have and I believe this series has only attracted around 3 million viewers some weeks. Surely, it's time the show quit given its lack of success!
April 2, 20179 yr The Voice seems like a really odd show format. With only 4 or 5 live shows, how can they possibly expect people to get invested in acts? Have any Voice acts in the UK ever charted particularly well? I know it's a bigger thing in the US somehow. The only one I can think of is Becky Hill and she wasn't even a winner or a finalist IIRC.
April 2, 20179 yr I'm hoping the new deluxe remastered version of my favourite album of all time 'Tango In The Night' by Fleetwood Mac charts highly <3 <3
April 2, 20179 yr IMHO Calvin Harris - 'Heatstroke' is quite a nice song. The chorus by Ariana Grande has a nice retro pop feel. Seems one of those hybrid tracks mixing old school pop - strong melodies - with the more 'in your face' rapping style popular in the streaming era. Heck, it's not Drake so that's another reason to like it. :D Edited April 2, 20179 yr by soundman
April 3, 20179 yr I'm hoping the new deluxe remastered version of my favourite album of all time 'Tango In The Night' by Fleetwood Mac charts highly People are still too busy buying Rumours!
April 3, 20179 yr The Voice seems like a really odd show format. The first series has had the most successful acts Tyler James had 2 top 40 hits, Bo Bruce had a top 10 album and obviously Becky who had had a fair few top 40 hits including a couple of top 10's however hasn't had a breakthrough yet by herself - a shame as most of her output has been fantastic. The other series I don't think there has been as much impact aside from the winner's single and maybe the winner's albums going top 40.
April 3, 20179 yr The first album by Stevie McCrorie reached the grand heights of... #35. As for last year's winner, Kevin Simm, his album didn't even chart.
April 3, 20179 yr Leah mcfall had a top 10 and a top 40 single whilst the show was still going However tbf her first official release was barely top 60 Edited April 3, 20179 yr by 777666jason

April 3, 20179 yr Louisa at 48 OUCH 😩 It's a decent climb though, it's still way too early to write her off as I'm sure Radio 1 will move her up their playlist soon.
April 3, 20179 yr Lookng at Sheeran's sales this week, Take That would have been better off releasing a week later
April 3, 20179 yr Author I just hope Galway Girl gets to #1 now, 12 weeks for Shape of you is long enough. I know 500 units is peanuts, but it could stretch as the week goes on.
April 3, 20179 yr I hope Jamiroquai could stick to the number 2 spot, such an amazing comeback album... Also Goldfrapp's album is so good , i hope it gets the success it deserves....
