Depending on how albums sell for the rest of the week, Pink may hold onto the Top 5 at the expense of George Michael.

 surely lots of data missing if Taylor only dropped 1 place she barely top 40 in iTunes and not even sniffed the top 50 on Spotify but hopefully it can hold top 40 it’s growing on me weakest from reputation so far but it’s growing

Think you got sales or Havana and rock star wrong way round ;)

Nothing was the wrong way round I just pressed a 3 instead of a 2 when typing it up.

Rockstar truly is an abomination of a song. Didn't it go to #1 in the US because of a youtube video that just played the hook over and over?

Really happy to see Havana going for a second week. never liked 5H but Camila seems endearing, plus the song is a banger

Sam only sold 8k yesterday?

Not even looking like he'll reach 90k now

He's on for about 80 - 85k at the moment, but the sudden rush on Thursday night after is show could see him clear 90k.

nope, totally the opposite, rockstar made #1 in the US despite not being available on youtube, think they finally just added it to yt yesterday

I don't understand how anyone believed that the looped video was supposed to be helping him in the chart. The lack of a proper video on YouTube was if anything substantially DISadvantaging him in the US chart, he'd likely have got #1 earlier if the song had a proper music video.

At a guess, it's probably just a carry over from the outrage of "Harlem Shake" getting to #1 via just as much of the song being heard. I'd love to know how many people actually watch that video all the way to the end, or how many people there are who genuinely think that's the song. I like "rockstar" as much as the next person but it's a real challenge to sit through it like that. If there was some dumb algorithm that made every one of those loops count as a separate play then MAYBE there could be some reason for outcry, but it's all too silly to think that it's not genuinely the most popular song in the country right now.

TO me ‘Rockstar’ actually had that “number one hype”, ‘Havana’ less so actually. And that doesn’t go to my personal taste, as I like ‘Havana’ more.
I suppose people were dumb enough to think every time the chorus looped it counted as another stream when really all the loops together would only count as one stream. Anyway the actual version is on YT now.
Would anyone know what position Steps have in todays mid week chart?

#31!

Charity dirge singles aside, "rockstar." is the least number 1 feeling song of recent memory.

really? it's everywhere tho

I'd say Rockstar is "more #1" than Havana which has slowly increased in popularity but not a phenomenon, like Rockstar which was success right away

I'm glad both have been UK #1's though, and probably US #1's too.

to be honest never heard rockstar on the radio or tv or when entering a shop or a mall or anything, it's not like despacito

i personally think rockstar is popular among the kids that use spotify but not sure if it has transcended into older age groups

Agreed, I much prefer Havana but Rockstar has been much more present as a number 1 in London for me.
