ABBA GOLD: SURVIVOR

I’ve taken it upon myself to launch my own survivor poll type thing, this one is for one of the biggest selling album of all times and also (sort of) coincides with the buzz around Mamma Mia again. The rules are simple please vote for YOUR LEAST FAVOURITE and every couple of days I will eliminate the song with the most votes until we have a winner.

Sorry for the delay with this, having problems with my iPad battery which should be resolved tomorrow so I can post these a bit quicker. Anywhoo, with a massive lead in the voted fifth out is "Thank You For The Music" which was originally recorded for the 1977 album 'ABBA: The Album" but wasn't released as a single until November 1983 where it peaked at #17 which is often attributed to their failing popularity in this era, the song found a new lease of life in popular concious when it was covered by Tina Cousins, Billie Piper, Steps, Cleopatra and B*Witched as "Thank ABBA for the Music" for a 1997 TV special and album release ABBAmania


Who'll go next is a mystery as no song came close to challenging 'Thank You For The Music' this round. Three songs all received three votes; 'Money, Money, Money', 'Chiquitia' & 'SOS' despite the latter having a clean sheet in the contest so far. 'Lay All Your Love On Me', 'Waterloo' & 'Fernando' also picked up two votes a piece, whilst 'Dancing Queen', 'Knowing Me, Knowing You', 'Take A Chance On Me', 'Super Trouper' and for the first time 'Gimme! Gimme! Gimme' all picked up a vote.

Just Mamma Mia and The Winner Takes It All remain unvoted for.

Still going for SOS.

'Dancing Queen' as per. My new second choice would be 'The Winner Takes It All' probably, which also likely won't be out for a while longer.

I went for 'Super Trouper' this time. (coming for 'Dancing Queen' and 'Waterloo' when that is gone, then the rest will be very good)

I think it's Waterloo for me this round although I would be okay with any of SOS, Chiquitita, Money Money Money or Super Trouper going also.

'Money, Money, Money' for me now.

This has got tough already! I went for 'Knowing Me, Knowing You'.

Went for "Lay All Your Love on Me" this time around.

Waterloo this time.

Fernando and Chiquitita are two of my favourite ABBA songs, what on earth is happening :( This poll took a dark turn.

tie between SOS and Chiquitita now, can someone just vote Chiquitita out now, SOS leaving this early would be ridic..

I am shocked at SOS getting votes this early? Knowing Me Knowing You is also one of the best.
