well England is in the easy part of the table so reaching the final should be possible, Sweden and Croatia are possible to beat, especially if Croatia plays as bad as they did against Denmark

If they go through semifinal, those are over a week away so in that case at least 2 weeks of Three Lions still to come :D

Yeah if England somehow manage to win the world cup I can see 3 lions easily being propelled to no1, even if it is for just a week or two.

 

Its certainly doing well today but I'd imagine it'll subside over the coming days but then again I feel there's hype around England there hasn't been for a long time in a major tournament.

Music, like football, is for everyone! Almost everyone I have been in conversation with recently has said the words 'it's coming home' to me, so Three Lions being so high accurately reflects the country at the moment.

No one I am personally friends with has even really talked about it.

 

I'm not too bothered, I just don't think the actual song is good. Waka Waka and Wavin' Flag and even Colors are good but 'Three Lions' is trash! :lol:

Oddly everyone I know is talking about it - even people who don't even really like football are into it (I like the World Cup, but that aside am never bothered).

 

I think if we beat Sweden then next week Three Lions will be the official number 1 as the streams and sales will only intensify

Personally I think 'Three Lions' is the ultimate football song ('World In Motion' does come close though), so I'm pleased it's #1 :D

 

As for whether it can make Number 1 officially if England win the World Cup, I'm not really sure. I guess a lot of people will be streaming it over the next couple of weeks?

Haha true - I was mainly talking about work so the age ranges from 25-60

Sadly it's all anyone around me talks about as well :drama: My entire soial media feeds, my housemates, my other friends.... So bored of it. Even if it's not football it annoys me when pointless songs chart, but football is the best example for it. I think drunk football chant is one of the most jarring noises possible so that in a song is a huge no.

They didn't play that well against Colombia yesterday. Sweden and anyone else that's left in the competition are going to be much harder opponents.
