Getaway Car is by far and away the best thing on the album, but (alongside 1989) I actually enjoy pretty much everything and not just the singles as well as one or two more.

I nearly dropped to the floor the first time she performed I Did Something Bad bc I thought it would become the next single. It didn’t and I’m still sad about that. TIWWCHNT still encapsulates everything I hate about Taylor but I couldn’t dock it down to less than what I gave because it fits the album’s Progression nicely. It’s Taylor going dark and saying “f*ck you all, you’re all gonna pay for turning me into a monster” then by the second half of the album she comes back to her senses. Somewhere in the middle, something sets her off, and she has one last temper tantrum. The last two songs are her finally cooling down and realizing that she’s relinquished all that anger and resentment from her body. The job was finished. It was time for the next chapter of her story. Stuff like that is why I respect Taylor as an artist.
