Why did I just watch 3 minutes of someone blatantly pretending like he didn't know it was Katy Perry under the helmet and then forcing a shocked reaction when he eventually saw her? :')

This song is starting to go somewhat viral on Tik Tok thanks to this (I'm sorry but it's hilarious!!) meme!

(Would LOVE for this song to get some kind of 2nd wind though! So, SO underrated!)

My FYP is full of this rn! And the way it's not even the first time it's gone viral - the demand is there but the promo wasn't. So many comments like "wait this is Katy Perry?" and "we need her back".

It's already done pretty well for itself considering its initial performance (400M+ on Spotify!) but it so deserves a Cruel Summer moment.

Yeah, this song always seems to go semi viral on TikTok out of all Katy songs, which is weird but refreshing. Still sounds so great to me, proper underrated moment
Now we need Small Talk to go viral. It's one of her most underrated singles ever.
Why did this song flop again? It is an BOP

Because of her hair, becoming woke and supporting Hillary. :coffee:

That part used to be stuck in my head back in 2021, when it became a viral thing on Asian TikTok.
been reading for ages that this song is the #1 viral song but it's not translating into streams, don't think it's been top 200 on Spotiy, Apple, Amazon

It wasn't even pushed as a proper single, that's probably why it didn't do much at the time.

Plus this was in the wake of spectacularly torpedoing any momentum she'd built with 'Small Talk'.

It wasn't even pushed as a proper single

It was sent to radio, got a pretty expensive music video and had remixes commissioned, so yeah, it definitely got a proper push as a single.

Well Radio 1 didn't playlist it, which means at least in the UK at least it definitely wasn't considered a "single"

In fact, this thread even says promo single so that must be the general consensus. Although it definitely would have been a better choice than 'Small.Talk' as the proper single to follow NRO (as would several others on the album)
