I am quite enjoying this actually! It's distinctly summer sounding though, it feels odd having it released during a rainy October. I'm tempted to say they should've just gone with it as the second single over 'Small Talk'.

I'm on the same boat as most in the sense I think it's much better than Small Talk but sadly much worse than NRO.

I hope she takes a bit of time away now and comes back in a year or so with some proper pop bangers

Not really sure about this yet, far better than the lacklustre 'Small Talk' though. Its an interesting direction though & Katy pulls off the sensual & sultry vocals really well, the video is pretty cool as well. But feel like there's something missing, that little extra spark seems to be absent for me.

Maybe my opinion will change over time, but at the moment I can't see this being a success.

No - ST was #33 at this point of the week and ended at #43 officially.

 

Shame this is set to underperform even more as it's an improvement over that (though still nowhere near as good as NRO).

I was kind of expecting this to be awful from the title alone but I am actually liking it, it's a nice breezy diet bop. God knows why she chose to push the awful 'Small Talk' over this, this would have made way more sense as a summer single as well.
