I JUST missed the premiere, only saw the very last scene. So just waited till it was over to see the full version and yes, I do like it. I was hoping for more of a storyline video like Judas or Telephone, but it's still very very good. It does have the same vibe as Stupid Love, but a darker version, and I think they go very well together. Especially the last few scenes are stunning and how good do they both look!?

Love the video. It’s so amazing to see Ariana out of her comfort zone fully attacking choreography like that and looking so comfortable as well. I’m in LOVE.

LOVE the song. So catchy and the production is stella. I haven't loved a Gaga single like this in a long time. :wub:

 

The video is great as well, some great/fun choreography mixed with some nice visuals.

 

I thnk this'll do better than "Stupid Love" peak and longevity-wise.

That closing shot of Ari and Gaga hugging! :wub: Echoing the love for the video with the choreography and the similar vibe to 'Stupid Love'. This era is clearly all about having FUN.

 

I've been listening to the song all day, the production is glorious and Ariana and Gaga's vocals compliment each other perfectly.

 

Also very glad that the horrific "rain, rain, go away..." 'leak' ended up being just a hoax!

Love the video reminded me of Marry The Night and the G.U.Y intro

 

Love how they both played homage to each other’s ‘looks’.

Good fun video! I love the colour scheme, visuals and costumes in the video - definitely matches the future pop-punk feel we got from Stupid Love and Chromatica so far! I'm sure there's a metaphor somewhere about the daggers raining down on them and they are pulling them out and carrying on - i'm sure someone will get analysing the video shortly to help me out with that :lol: They both look like their having fun and enjoying being in each others company, the whole package exudes joy!

 

Is it just me or does Gaga look like Marina in the headshots of her? She does have the tendency to shape shift from video to video...

My laptop and internet had a major meltdown the second the countdown started, so I couldn't watch the premiere.. and I still haven't seen it! Watching now, but a *quick* glance at some comments has me so excited. I've not cried since this morning, we shall see what sort of effect the video has on me :lol:

It's just referring to the lyrical message, I don't think it's anything deeper but you never know!

I imagine that it's just about the ups and downs of being a popstar & how that whole world is "alien" to them to tart with (and being attacked and wounded with the lifestyles of fame)! Like, they're both in the same industry and doing the same thing but pretty much doing their own thing (hence why the camera spins from Gaga's "world" to Ari's "world") but then they're getting through it all together with this collab.

 

Also the hole where the dagger is on Gaga's leg, is it just me or is it shaped like a heart? (her tights) So maybe there's something with that too?

Yeah so I lasted ~90 seconds.. When Ariana and Gaga appeared together? Yeah that really hit me hard. I didn't know if they would with the craziness of travelling recently, but it seems like they managed to film it all just in time :wub:

 

What a superb video. My main positive is how perfectly it fits the song. I feel so joyous and empowered. Their friendship is the most beautiful thing ever and the pain they have both faced being literally washed away in these 3 minutes is gorgeous. The final few shots with their embracing were beautiful, but also the slight smiles they give to each other throughout. It's a real bond they have formed and this song has made it happen.

 

I am so so so in love with the entire package. I couldn't have asked for more from them. Do I prefer her story videos? Yes, but this could be her best non-story video to date? :o

 

Also: major YES to them channelling each others' looks. A true union of visions <3

SO song wise, I love - I think I've got over the idea that Lady Gaga is going to reinvent the wheel, this could be any Calvin Harris feature or any Dua Lipa song but that's not a bad thing because when Gaga does it, she does it right and she does it polished. And the middle 8 adds a necessary Gaga flavour, it reminds me of G.U.Y. Ariana sounds AMAZING aswell :wub:

 

I... am not wowed by the video but everyone is so I'm going to try? :( I love the scenes of friendship, they're adorable, but I found the whole thing (especially Ariana) a little bit "go girl, give us nothing", all of the choreography lacked energy :unsure: But, aesthetic wise, I loved the colouring, the outfit choices, how the two looked very in sync and meshing their styles together. They work extremely well together, I just think we could've got something that matched the high energy of the track.
