WIN : Lemon (I agree she was great on all counts)

HIGH: Priyanka, BOA (her verse was actually the most satisfying to listen to ‘dressed like a clown and it showed in the promo’)

SAFE: Kiara (I agree her verse esp Kiki wanna Kai Kai was great), Tynomi (her verse was actually pretty decent and sure she didn’t lip some of it but I feel like they dragged her way more harshly, she kept up with most of the dance at least!), Rita, Scarlett

LOW: Jimbo or Ilona (both of whom I love but both flunked the challenge)

BTM 2: Jimbo or Ilona and Anastarzia (Her verse was actually good but she wasn’t on top of that performance AND her runway was poor, whereas the other two had two of the best of the week)

Lemon's verse was incredible but I cannot argue that Scarlet and Priyanka brought some insane energy so they deserved the Top 2 placing. This is probably my favourite singing challenge in history of Drag Race, I'm obsessed.

I’ll be shocked if that doesn’t end up being the top 3, but seeing how the judging’s going I won’t hold my breath.

Jimbo screams like 5th placed "robbed" fan fave for me but then I kinda get that vibe from Lemon too :lol:

 

I think I'd say Rita seems like the winner to me at the moment, she feels very Canadian, experienced, campy, but can turn a look easy.

For me I’m seeing Priyanka, Rita and Scarlett as definite top 4 material as well as possibly Jimbo, Lemon and Boa- making up the other higher placing queens

I'm SCREAMING at Lemon, Ilona and BOA, I hope they are correct lmao

 

I liked this week's challenge, it was cool to have that little twist on a design challenge doing it in teams as a fashion house! The right team definitely won, Rita was by farrrrr the best this week, but all three were great and really cohesive. I love Rita more and more as the weeks go on, she's quietly confident and just kind of gets on with it but she has such a passion and a great mind behind her to the point I'm excited to see what she does next.

 

I don't think Ilona and Tynomi's looks were THAT bad, they were costumey and crafty but I really hate that kind of comment, because it borders on gatekeeping drag in a way. I don't know why a little campy costumey thing now and again is seen as so bad when they clearly met the challenge as a cohesive team. At times it feels like the judges only want glamour or fashion in their drag, like why should BOA have to give glamour on the runway if that's not who she is as a queen?

 

Jeffery's attitude towards the paper team was vile tbh, way too snide and he's just picking for the sake of being the mean judge. For example when Michelle picks at things, she comes from a place of love and wanting to help the queens better themselves but when he said to Jimbo "use the time better then :)" with that smirk I just thought that was really out of order. I get that it was a fashion runway kind of challenge, but there's no chance that Ilona and Tynomi were BOTH worse than BOA's outfit, which was hideous no matter how she tried to sell it. I liked Priyanka and Lemon's looks but they were the least cohesive team too, it should have been BOA and either Ilona or Tynomi who lipsynced. Both ate that lipsync though, lowkey could have been a double shantay but I'm not fussed at Tynomi going one bit. It got boring hearing "but she's Tynomi Banks!!!" when she gave precisely nothing at any point on this show apart from a couple of lipsyncs when she had to turn it out or go home.

 

Omg the chubby pit crew member tho, we are being FED :wub: I love that they had that inclusivity as well instead of always being super muscled gays, such a small but important touch.

 

 

So hyped for Satch Game *.*

I again really really loved this challenge- the Houses of fashion twist was a really great idea and the plastic team TURNED IT OUT!!! I would have maybe had Boa and Priyanka lipsync if I’m honest and that’s coming from Pri being me absolute favourite in the competition!

I thought that lip sync was FIRE, by far the best so far. I knew as soon as it started was that illona was gonna turn it but I was surprised that Tynomi was bringing it too.

 

I actually agreed with the bottom 2 but I was shook boa wasnt lip syncing. I think their outfits was'nt "costumey" I just think it wasnt enough or even tied in with Jimbo's outfit, like I wish they had incorporated floral into their knight outfits. They felt out of place to me.

 

Jeffery actually isnt that bad for me, I think he does need go reign it in a bit bit I can tell it does come from a place of love.

 

Illona has the quote of the season so far "representing dumpster dives" LOL

 

Also yes at the chubby pit crew member, this is why representation matters because seeing toned guys on shows like love island etc defo does f*** with Male mental health and body image.

I'm falling more and more into the Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman is completely ruining this for me camp.

I really thought Tynaomi was going to stay.

 

Kiara and Ilona are really flatlining for me.

Really not an Ilona fan AT ALL but OMG at her snatch game choice.

I really liked the main challenge as well! The plastic team were by far the best and Rita did so well! Definitely the right winner.

 

I really don't know how BOA escaped the bottom 2. Either way though the lip sync was fierce!! I thought it was going to be a double shantay, but I can see why they would let Tynomi go. Tynomi is this season's Brita.

 

A bit disappointed with Jimbo. I hope he can turn things around and get back to slaying the competition. I was also really hoping this would be Ilona's challenge to shine, instead the opposite occured. :lol:

Agreed - Jeffrey really needs to chill out. Brooke and Stacey's comments are always sassy but at least constructive, whereas with Jeffrey he's just ruining my enjoyment when it comes to critiques and trying too hard to be mean. He's tolerable as a guest on the US version, but I really hope he's binned for the second season.

 

Despite the metal team having the least cohesive looks, Priyanka's was by far and away my favourite this week. Simple, yet high fashion and beautiful. :wub: Lemon and all of the plastic team were up there too.

 

Really hoping Ilona is gone soon though; her attitude in that episode was horrid and even though Tynomi's time was definitely up I thought she was marginally better in that lip-sync.

Ilona was a nasty little whiner this episode and really turned me off her. Her outburst at the end will have helped people forget, imo, that she was also stirring shit up earlier in the episode. Also, she really gave the attitude that she thought she could just buy her way through the contest with expensive custom made costumes. Bitch, have you seen this show?

 

Design challenge was fun. Plastics were probably overall the best but Scarlett Bobo was just plain bad and the only thing that saved it was it matching with her teammates. Team metal had zero cohesion and it looked like BOA stole Jiggly Caliente's apocalypse look out of whatever composter it landed in half a decade ago. The passes she's getting are really annoying and I'm 70% sure it's being done deliberately for outrage views and advertising.

Agreed! With Priyanka winning the rap I kind of got it because it was the overall performance and she was making the most of every second whether the focus was on her or not, even though I feel like Lemon, Rita and Scarlett at the very least had better verses, and lowkey Kiara who was placed "low" (mostly for her shit runway). This week was just odd, I mean I think it was supposed to be that success meant the team both had cohesion and the looks were fashion, so tick for plastic but then the metal team had no cohesion at all really other than Priyanka and BOA both having silver outfits, I guess they tried for fashion but BOA certainly failed there. So really between BOA, Ilona and Tynomi, I can't fathom how they decided that both cute but costumey looks that were in sync with both each other and Jimbo, were worse than BOA in a horribly constructed diaper and whatever else tf it was supposed to be :lol: If they wanted each house to go for cohesion, then why did the bottom 2 end up being the ones who actually had that? If they were going to just overrule the whole point of the fashion houses and say "that's too costumey, bye huns lipsync" then why not just have an individual design challenge? It feels like they just put whoever they want into the bottom, like this week it was the two who arguably were the weakest left with the worst track records (the only ones to never win or place high as of yet). As much as Tynomi was the weakest overall and I'm not fussed at her going, if I'm being cynical I think she was kind of "scripted" to go and would have gone either way. I just think bottom line is that in a design challenge, whilst I am such a fan of hers, constructing something as awful as BOA's outfit should have you in the bottom, if the whole point is to construct an outfit how can you really get away with.... that?

 

It's not just a problem with this though it's Drag Race in general, sometimes they are really not clear with what they want and kind of apply one bit to some queens but not to others, at times it feels like another way to almost "fix" it how they want.
