June 28, 20205 yr One month on: 01 Alice (1-1) 02 Rain On Me (with Ariana Grande) (3-2) 03 Sine From Above (with Elton John) (2-3) 04 Stupid Love (4-4) 05 911 (5-5) 06 Replay (8-6) 07 Sour Candy (with BLACKPINK) (7-7) 08 Free Woman (10-8) 09 Enigma (9-9) 10 Babylon (6-10) 11 1000 Doves (12-11) 12 Plastic Doll (11-12) 13 Fun Tonight (13-13) Some changes - most notably Babylon dropping quite a bit, I don't get the urge to go back to it much! Some songs have been growing on me such as Replay, Free Woman and 1000 Doves. My top three are quite clear cut now and I don't see things changing much from that. Chromatica II into 911 still slaps and may be my favourite moment on the album  . I kinda feel Fun Tonight might grow on me at some point as I'm still not getting the things that people love about it yet! Whereas the likes of Plastic Doll/1000 Doves/Enigma I think I'm getting the full experience already.
July 9, 20204 yr 1. Alice 2. Babylon 3. Sine From Above 4. Fun Tonight 5. Stupid Love 6. 911 7. Rain On Me 8. 1000 Doves 9. Free Woman 10. Sour Candy 11. Plastic Doll 12. Enigma 13. Replay I think everything to 8th is brilliant (ROM was a big grower however). Did like FW a lot initially but I've gone off it a bit. SC and PD are decent enough and the last two have really good sections but both the choruses let it down for me :(

Insane.
July 11, 20204 yr Some subtle changes on mine but not a massive amount, Babylon and Rain On Me I can't really decide between them but I think Babylon is just ahead for me now. Broadly the top 4 are now pulling ahead of the rest of the album so I can't see it changing anytime soon. Hope Babylon is a single as I can't wait to see what she does with the video (and hopefully makes the song another minute longer with a remix). In terms of her other albums for me I'd rank it second behind The Fame, with ASIB closely in third. Thats not to say I don't love this album I really do, its all I've listened to, its been so personally healing for me to listen to and lifted me up so much. I hadn't heard Love Me Right on the first listen but If I was to place it now it would be 08 behind Sour Candy. Really don't get the point of that not being available on Spotify, like surely the target exclusive should have been the first week or two it was on sale. Glad to see Replay climbing on everyones lists so far. 01. Babylon (05-01) 02. Rain On Me (01-02) 03. Replay (03) 04. Stupid Love (02-04) 05. 911 (09-05) 06. Enigma (06) 07. Sour Candy (04-07) 08. July 21, 20204 yr What songs has grown the most during these two months? For me, probably 1000 Doves which is still bottom five on the album but love it more now.

September 14, 20204 yr Several months later: 01 Rain On Me (with Ariana Grande) (3-2-1) 02 Alice (1-1-2) 03 Sine From Above (with Elton John) (2-3-3) 04 911 (5-5-4) 05 Sour Candy (with BLACKPINK) (7-7-5) 06 Stupid Love (4-4-6) 07 Babylon (6-10-7) 08 Replay (8-6-8) 09 Free Woman (10-8-9) 10 1000 Doves (12-11-10) 11 Enigma (9-9-11) 12 Plastic Doll (11-12-12) 13 Fun Tonight (13-13-13) Still a very strong album! The bottom three I don't revisit anymore but still lots of highlights from across the album drawing me back! Rain On Me is my song of the year currently and I think it's the strongest moment of the album too. Alice is also a very solid second place and it would be a shame if that doesn't get the single treatment. I've enjoyed some of the albums 'darker' sounds such as 911 and Sour Candy and Babylon and 1000 Doves at the end of the album have been growing on me too!
September 14, 20204 yr Alice is also a very solid second place and it would be a shame if that doesn't get the single treatment. This! The fact that she can release Alice and with investment she could get another Top 10 hit but instead she will release 911 that will only last 1 week in the Top 80...
September 15, 20204 yr 01 Babylon 02 Replay 03 Enigma 04 Rain on Me 05 Alice 06 Sine from Above 07 911 08 1000 Doves 09 Free Woman The top seven are all varying degrees of great. I do actively dislike 'Sour Candy' and 'Plastic Doll', and 'Free Woman' is the song with the most wasted potential. It's so close to being really good but the drop and MOR production hold it back. 01 Replay 02 Babylon 03 Rain on Me 04 Enigma 05 Alice 06 911 07 Free Woman 08 Sour Candy 09 Sine from Above 10 1000 Doves 11 Fun Tonight 12 Stupid Love 13 Plastic Doll That top four — and Alice, but a little less so — are indisputably my favourites. I do wish the album had more moments like 'Replay', 'Babylon', and 'Enigma' where the production sheen is a little less clean. My main take from the album is how much I wish they went for that dirty nineties house sound and didn't smooth out the personality. Biggest changes are embracing 'Free Woman' and 'Sour Candy' as the basic bops they are.
